Sony To Re-Release Sam Raimi's SPIDER-MAN Trilogy On Blu-Ray

Amazon Japan have revealed an upcoming re-release of the Spider-Man trilogy on Blu-ray. Hit the jump for details on the release date and the Japanese cover art.

Amazon Japan have a new version of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy on Blu-ray listed as going on sale on May 23rd. Amazon UK meanwhile has a released date of June 4th. It is currently unknown whether or not it will come with any new content or if it's simply just a way of cashing in on the imminent release of The Amazing Spider-Man. As for the chances of the set being released in the US, it has so far not been listed on the US version of the shopping website. The current version (which has been on sale since 2007) is still available.

first off, this set looks a million times better than the US version that we have had since 07. i am waiting because the current set is bare bones, and i'm hoping they would release a better one - hence this one - in the states again!

This trilogy is already $25 on bluray in Australia - And well worth it just for the train fight!

i've already got these on blu-ray but they haven't got any extra features,so add extra features to make them worth buying again.

Although these movies were plain wrong and not proper Spider-Man, the first two are very enjoyable. I'll probably get the boxset.
The Amazing Spider-Man will be the definitive Spider-Man!

I think it looks great. I'm more excited for the new movie than anybody, but I'll never forget about this trilogy. It was a humongous part of my childhood. Seeing Spider-Man 2 in theaters was the absolute peak of my childhood. Can't wait to buy this. Spider-Man Fan For Life :)

I seem to be the only one who thinks the first film is far superior than the sequel that entailed, the sequel became too much of a love story and peter being a baby like always didnt help, having said that the action scenes were a 1000 on a scale of 1 to 10. Its too bad the amazing spiderman will make everyone forget about this iffy trilogy. First one was supreme! Im ranting -_-

I actually agree with marvel at once, I'm anal for consistency and damn that third box does not have the villain!

Its funny how people like Boyle claim the new Spider-Man more accurate

At least this one keeps Uncle Bens death as the catalyst and keeps it fun. The new one is definitely trying too hard to be Batman
