Why? It´s more powerful, and people recognize this song. Also, it is very nice opening scene. Original and simple.

Hey it's the butt hurt fanboy that deletes every comment from people criticizing TAS. The movie sucked dude, I know it, you know it, and the people who go see movies know it (hence it not selling half the tickets of the original). It was a recycled piece of garbage. The only thing new that it added was moodiness and angst which teenage fanboys get off on. The movie felt like Twilight raped Sam Raimi's Spider-man.

Odin, well, TASM won this round because score was better in TASM than in Spider-Man. Only where Raimi spider-man music was better is main theme. Again, it´s realistic take.

Spamming and saying all the things without any proof, video or screenshots means nothing. If you want to make it even more balanced, then tell me, where is Raimi Spider-Man better, and bring facts, not say thats Twilight because some people think its Twilight .

God your such a troll, are you for real saying that Horner's score was better than Elfman's?? That's like saying it was better than John Williams' Superman. Horner's was good, but forgettable and doesn't make any sense at times.

SM1 and SM2 are far superior films than TASM, TASM's villain had no motive. TASM's Parker at the end of the film disregarded everything he had learned for his own selfish reasons(showing he really hasnt learned a thing which defeats the purpose of the entire film), TASM completely stole a ton of things off of Batman Begins. TASM at best was an above average film, on par with Iron Man 2, Spider-Man 3, X3, Daredevil, Ang Lee's Hulk, etc.

Seriously, anyone who isn't a tween/teen would see this.

It has nothing to do with "being grounded realistically"....

Hmm...let's see what happened near the end of TASM.

Villain is in possession of a machine that can disperse gases into the air. The villain sets up the machine and plans to use a certain toxin to cover the city in gas in order to change people into something their not. Our hero finds out and begins to develop an anti-dote, he then contacts his primary sidekick/accomplice and tells him/her to further use the anti-dote in order to save the city.

Remind you of anything???

all of Raimi's Spider-Man films are better than The Amazing Spiderman, better cast, better scope, better action, better comedy, better villians, better scale, better score etc I could go on and on and on. TAS is just under Spiderman 3. Though it does look like TAS2 will be a much better film than is's predecessor.

FreedomFreeLife i have to disagree with you.Firstly i believe that tobey maguire is much better than andrew garfield for playing spiderman because tobey portrayed him so well in the big screen.He is a teenager with economic problems,he has problem with the girls,he is shy,he is a geek.All these tobey maguire transfered them to the movie very well.In tasm peter rides a skeytboard,he is very comfortable on talking with the girls,he is like robert pattinson from the twilight and etch.These story doesn't even gets close to the comics.Old spiderman movies were much closer to the comics in my opinion.Secondly what bothered me the most is that you told the responsibility thing of tasm was better than spiderman.NO!!!!!You made a video that show us the respnsibility of the spiderman movies in order to tell us that peter never understood the meaning of responsibility.First of all he didn't kill sandman,the carjacker felt by his own and almost all the scenes shows us that peter was under the control of the black suit.So in spiderman 1,2 and 3 the responsibility thing is much better than tasm.Thirdly the score of the old spiderman movies is way much much better than tasm.It is so dynamic,so inspiring.Tasm score it'also cool,dynamic,inspiring but not as good as in the old spiderman movies.Now for the chemistry,tasm's chemistry is a little better than from the old spiderman movies.And for the end i think that both uncle bens were good choices for the movies.

I'm not saying that tasm sucked.I loved it so deeply because i love spiderman since the age of 2.I'm so excited that there will be two nore films but in my opinion spiderman 1 and 2 will be always better than tasm.The only thing that didn't go well in spiderman 3 is the emo style of peter,the jazz club seguence and the sandman.That's all i have to say

TAS was THE best Spider-Man movie in my opinion, largely due to the fact that Tobey Maguire was just bad! Bad acting & far too nerdy, and yes I know in the early 60's comics he was a bit nerdy, but no way as nerdy as Maguire's portrayal. He took it too far and made Peter Parker out to be just plain goofy. Parker was more of a wall flower and too wrapped up in being Spidey & paying his aunts bills to be social at school, which left him an outsider, Andrew Garfield was the much better Peter Parker, and Parker/Spidey being the main character of the movie holds a lot of sway as to the entire outcome. Doc Ock was the better villain I think though and SM2 has some great scenes, but I keep coming back to the ASM on dvd.

So both @freedom and @RFBD @Fenix etc. can't say " oh you know TASM sucked" pretending it's a fact, and " oh the raimi movies were garbage" like you have any valid FACTS to back up any of your arguements. You sound dumb, you can give your OPINION on the subject but don't act like it is a fact the raimi trilogy was better than a single movie or vice versa. Now stop your complaining little boys, you can't rehash comic book source. You can't say this movie copied or rehashed the first film becasue the first film is just a " rehash" of all previous spider-man orgin stories. Now that is a fact, sure the could've not done the orgin but they did and it's still not a rehash becasue it is based off the same comic as spiderman 1:) fact

I am one of the people who liked TASM, but I absolutely HATED the score, the tone/epic-ness was just NOT there. The woman chanting/humming was just not the way to go, I'm not saying they should have just ripped off the Raimi Trilogy, but the first trilogy really had a memorable score, but TASM was severely lacking in the music department

Okay, both movies had an awesome soundtrack. However, Danny Elfman's score was much more memorable and superhero like while James Horner's score sounded like Titanic.

The only problem I had with the amazing spider man score was that at times it did not feel right. For example, the ladies chanting when young Peter Parker was playing hide and seek, same thing with the scene where the car was on fire and how The Music remained happy and cheerful when Peter was trying to talk sense into The Lizard. Also the whole crane swinging was cheesy enough without the Titanic soundtrack playing in the background.

The original score from the old movies however need me feel likecI was swinging in the city and saving people. During fight scenes, the score did change to represent a big bad villain coming closer. Also they knew that it was fine to not have a score playing in the background to set the mood for a scene. For example: Peter vs the Green Goblin final fight). It made that scene very dark and foreboding why does the Amazing Spider Man simply had to play some cheerfull music during everything every fight scene. That took away the sense of danger.

For this reason, Elfman wins.

How does not music fit?
For example, Dr. Connors gets new hand, and it has music that shows like he got something new and increatable, while in raimi movie itwas just so quiet music and just random. I mean there was random music, and too quiet, and too few.

Danny did only main theme better, but in movie it had no music at all. I mean i watched it like 10 time, and i can remember only main theme, and nothing else. It feels like there was no music at all. Danny music is just random music in different scenes. Also feels too old music. Its too quiet. TASM music felt like magic, darker and something special and different. It fits very well for TASM because it is darker and different.
If it had same music as raimi spiderman, then you would complain that its rip off.

Upon first viewing the Amazing Spiderman I must say I was greatly disappointed. But after watching it a second and even a third time I must say it grew on me. To say it was more faithful to the comics then the first Rami film I really don't think so. I know everyone complains about Rami's use of organic web shooters. Personally I think on film the organic web shooters work much better. As much as I love Spiderman and his long comic history I find that his web shooting abilities should be apart of his powers.
