During this evening's State of Play, Insomniac Games and PlayStation shared new details about what we can expect from Spider-Man 2 (via GameFragger.com). That includes near-instant switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales, the unexpected addition of Mysterio, and the fact this game will feature a massive 65 suits!
That's not the only expansion taking place, though, because with Queens and Brooklyn now part of the map, the area we can explore is almost twice as big as Manhattan. Across the East River, there will be new story missions, side quests, and city activities, with the Web Wings making it easier to get around faster.
In terms of new powers, it's said that "Pete's new Symbiote powers and Spider-Arms are aggressive and relentless." As for Miles, "[he] brings an electrifying and thunderous quality to his bioelectric venom power, as well as Evolved venom abilities."
Now, about those costumes. It's been revealed that we're getting a total of 65 in this game, ranging from new original designs to those pulled from the movies and comic books. Insomniac has also announced plans for "Suit Styles," a new feature which "unlocks alternate color shaders for some suits, which provide over 200 ways for you to outfit your Spider-hero!"
Among the 10 new suits showcased today are the Apunkalyptic Suit, Stone Monkey Suit, Tactical Suit, Aurantia Suit, 25th Century Suit, The EnC0ded Suit, Biomechanical Suit, Red Spectre Suit, Tokusatsu Suit, and Agimat Suit.

As for Mysterio, he's teased in these new videos showcasing the larger map and new gameplay features. We're also hearing rumblings that Eddie Brock definitely won't be part of Spider-Man 2, confirming plans for Venom to have a new host. Stay tuned for additional details on that soon.

"Wield Peter's symbiote abilities and Miles' explosive bio-electric powers in battle against new and iconic Marvel Super Villains," it continues, "including an original take on a symbiote-infused Venom, the ruthless Kraven the Hunter, the volatile Lizard, and more from the Marvel Rogues' Gallery."
Spider-Man 2 swings into stores on October 20.
