SPIDER-MAN Star Travis Willingham Hopes To Return As The Kingpin In Upcoming Sequel (Exclusive)

The Kingpin made a surprise return in Spider-Man: Miles Morales after being jailed in 2018's Spider-Man, and actor Travis Willingham has now shared his hopes to reprise the role in the next instalment...

Spider-Man kicked off in style with the wall-crawler leaping into action to deal with Wilson Fisk. It was clear the hero had spent years trying to bring The Kingpin down, and players were thrown straight into the midst of the action for a fight against the formidable villain.

By the time all was said and done, Fisk was beaten and sent to prison. Spider-Man: Miles Morales made it clear that he was still a dangerous threat from behind bars, of course, and fans are hoping the Kingpin of Crime will return in the upcoming sequel, Spider-Man 2.

We recently spoke with Travis Willingham about his role as the Man of Steel in Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, and asked for his thoughts on getting to play The Kingpin.

"Oh yeah, Wilson Fisk is a great, great character," the actor enthused. "It was a joy being able to mo-cap that role. It’s hard to imagine being the physical size of The Kingpin, but it was an absolute blast just getting to throw myself around the mo-cap stage and at Spider-Man, for that matter."

"It’s always a pleasure when you get to jump into a baddie that has such a…let’s call it a large ego [Laughs]."

As for whether he would like to take another crack at the iconic big bad in that sequel, Willingham added, "If Kingpin comes back around again, it would be a joy to play him."

While Venom and Kraven the Hunter are set to appear in Spider-Man 2, we don't know who else will be taking aim at Peter Parker and Miles during their next team-up. We're sure there's room for The Kingpin to make his presence felt and, if nothing else, he can continue to make their lives difficult from his prison cell.

Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons lands on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray and Digital on October 18, 2022.

Gotta say Willingham was great but Roscoe Lee Browne will always be the Kingpin I hear when reading the comics.

''It’s hard to imagine being the physical size of The Kingpin''

Willingham is a massive dude himself, so I think he can imagine a little.

Didn't know Willingham was Kingpin though. Normally I can recognize Willingham's voice fairly quickly, but I had no idea now
