After much anticipation,
Game Informer has finally lifted the lid on Insomniac Game’s
Spider-Man, revealing the release date of the eagerly awaited video game. According to the publication, whose May issue is filled with juicy
Spider-Man details, you’ll be able to swing across new York City on September 7, 2018. As a reminder, Insomniac’s
Spider-Man game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4.
For those looking for more information about the upcoming game, Game Informer’s cover story is said to offer information on
Spider-Man’s upgrades, level system, and suit crafting. “
Yes, you can bring back some of Spider-Man's most beloved looks, of which there are many,” the site teases.
In addition to the release date announcement, Game Informer has published a video with
Spider-Man creative director Bryan Intihar, featuring 114 rapid-fire questions about the game. From crafting and the leveling systems to frate rate details to playable characters and the size of the gameplay world,
check out the video here for answers to an assortment of random
Spider-Man questions.

now available in digital format.
Meanwhile, Sony has detailed the contents of the Collector’s & Digital Deluxe Editions as well as pre-order bonuses. In doing so, the publisher confirmed that Marvel's Spider-Man will have post-launch content.
That’s right, we’ll be supporting the game post-launch and you’ll be getting three new chapters each with new missions, new villains and characters, and additional suits for Spider-Man.
The Digital Deluxe edition of the game ($79.99 MSRP) will include a copy of the game as well as new story chapters with the post-launch DLC series – Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps.
The Collector’s Edition ($149.99 MSRP, while supplies last) includes all of the digital content from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a Steelbook case featuring the iconic white spider, Mini Artbook from Titan Books, and an awesome Marvel’s Spider-Man statue by Gentle Giant. Not all of its contents have been revealed yet.
And, of course, you have pre-order bonuses. Pre-ordering the game will net you a Spide-Suit Pack featuring Spider-Punk, as well as a couple suits still to be revealed, the Spider-Drone gadget, a PSN avatar, and an original PS4 theme designed by renowned comic book artist Adi Granov.
