I Hope Webb was able to negotiate for more creative control. Becasue he didn't jump right back on too the sequel, he said he wasn't sure. This is often a negotiation tactic by directors to get more control over the movie, of course he might not have been sure though. I loved TASM but the movie was destroyed in the editing room. However the only reason I'm having glimmers of hope for this one is becasue the cast is absolutely amazing. It has probably the most talented cast in any CBM ever. It has a total of( nominees/winners) 6 nominees/winners of Oscar and GGs. I know it really doesn't matter but I hope Webb gives it his all, especially in the FX, also the writin. The writing needs better balance between the comedic part of Spidey and the very serious part of him. This however should be taken care of by the two new writers who wrote Star trek into darkness

This would be the PERFECT time to release the first trailer. You have comic con, which is a great place to spread the word about comic book movies in particular. Spider-Man? Man, you gotta have something huge. Then, we have a trailer just before another movie based on a MARVEL character comes out: the Wolverine. That has a lot if advertising potential. This also puts TASM 2's next trailer on track to be released before Thor: The Dark World. Then, the final trailer can be released in March, to he put into the Captain America sequel. Great line-up for trailers. Not only that but TASM 2 scored the lucrative spot of the first Friday in May. This is the perfect time to put a movie like this out as it is a main player as everyone sees it. If we're lucky, this film could even join the ranks of billion-dollar movies with the way that slot has been working. DC doesn't appear to have a movie coming out so no controversial debates to actually stem interest for Spider-Man depressingly but oh well.
