Comics 101: Black Cat

H**L YEAH!!!! Black Cat should most definitely be in Spidey 4! Now just have to find a girl hot enough to fill the part. Lord knows there's enough of them out there.

@Hawksblueyes -- They don't need to scrap her origin. They could use everything before her deal with the Kingpin, including Kevin Smith's cliche retcon addition of her being raped as the impetus for her own physical training. Seriously not a fan of that addition. Was totally unnecessary I think, as it ignored everything that led to her becoming the Black Cat to begin with.

Anyway, Black Cat's "bad luck" powers were very much like Longshot's Good Luck powers. Longshot btw, came about a year after Felicia's transformation by the same Fisk-employed scientists who had created the powers of both the Scorpion and the Fly. Contrary to common belief these days, she's also not a Catwoman rip-off, as I don't recall that Catwoman was an acrobatic martial-artist until Frank Miller rewrote her origins for the post-Crisis continuity in Batman: Year One in 1986, seven years after her debut in 1979.

As for the whole Doc Strange thing.... it would have made more sense for her to just go back to having her original levels of strength and agility with her training in gymnastics and martial arts. Instead they gave her heightened senses, superhuman strength, speed, and agility, plus the addition of the oh so original retractable claws.

Take the character back to her origins and she's actually much more interesting and more easily related to.

Black Cat shouldn't be in it, the whole new love interest was done in pt 3 & it sucked. Let's have one movie where Peter & MJ actually get along the entire movie then you can focus more on the villains and the storyline.
