Close-Up Of Norman Osborn's Frozen Head Deleted From THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

The original post-credits scene for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had Norman Osborn's cryogenically frozen head as Michael Massee's enigmatic Gustav Fiers strolls through the secret Oscorp lab. Come check out the head!

For Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Weta Workshop worked on, "Green Goblin's costume and make-up along with Electro's suspension rig and a number of props in the Oscorp vault were designed and built right here in the workshop."

The most fascinating prop from the Oscorp vault is Norman Osborn's (Chris Cooper) severed head which was cryogenically frozen. It was supposed to appear in the post-credits scene for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but it was removed before the film was released. Though, images from the scene did leak online months before the film came out.

Chris Cooper's Norman Osborn only appears in one scene. That is when Norman tells Harry that he has a mysterious genetic disease and Harry has it as well. He passes along information to Harry in hopes that his son might find a cure for it.

You can now get a closer look at Norman's head along with a closer behind-the-scenes look at Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin costume.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film starred Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn.

I don't get people. They say they want a film that is just like the comics, well guess what, TASM2 is the most comic accurate Spidey film we've got.
It's nowhere near being the worst CBM ever made. Marvel, DC, Fox and Sony have all made films much worse than this.

I'd be okay if I never had to see another Comic Book Character with a "suit turned realistic" type of look again.

I gotta agree though, the simple thought of what the finished Goblin costume would've/could look like is something to think about, I didn't judge DeHann's Goblin too hard because I figured that this was only teasing what would eventually come later from him or Norman. But after giving TASM2 another watch the other day it seems like the teen villain thing gets a little cheesy.

"YURH A FRAUD SPIDER-MANNN!" lol

@DEVLIN712- yes the movie did "resemble" the comics a lot (Color, Witty Spiderman ect) and a lot of people including myself were grateful for that but that wasn't the movies problem... The fact that the story was all over the place and how it didn't really feel like anything was connecting was the biggest problem (feeling forced) and they could have toned down some of the cheesiness it had because they just went overboard with it and it came off as ridiculous. As for the witty Spiderman, daytime action (colors) and action were some of the best ever so far in any Spiderman movie and they need to keep that because Emo Spiderman movies are the last thing we need.......

@davinci31 I agree. I go to see movies to escape reality, not to try to make everything real. Also, even though though I think they got the right character for Harry Osborne, they really effed up his story. If they had saved him for TASM 3 (which will likely never happen now) he woulda had a better effect.

"I don't get people. They say they want a film that is just like the comics..."

I disagree. I believe most Comic Book fans just want their Characters of interest to be handled with respect, in terms of the values, said characters hold. A simple rule that TASM 2, as many other CBM's, have failed to follow. TASM 2 just happened to be a lot worse, in this regard.

Nope, just someone who has read A LOT of Spider-Man comics.
As for the worse films:
Iron Man 2
X-Men 3
Origins Wolverin
Batman and Robin
Steel
Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man in both ASM films is treated with much more respect than in any of Raimi's films.

@Eziokenway1225 I totally agree. Could you imagine how much of an impact that ending scene would've had if the movie was great? It would've been one of those iconic superhero scenes. This movie had so much potential...
