We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones in an unspecified role

The skipping rocks scene was ridiculously unnecessary.

"With "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" news comes naysayers of the film regardless how many times they claim they aren't interested in anything related to it."

No? I'll show myself out...lol

But honestly, will any of you all be seeing that Sinister 6 film? I think I can see where they're going with it. They may start off as being ruthless villains under the GG ruling and eventually Doc Ock will step up to retaliate and show the team how they can all work together rather than "one by one" as seen at the end of TASM2. Meh, idk...

Hated ASM2 but I'll give Sinister Six a shot. It can have my money, just not on opening night.

Tbh I enjoyed the film up until the ending...they should of kept Harry but left the Goblin story out (and left it for the 3rd film) also Gwens death should of been in the 3rd, it felt way to rushed and honestly Emma Stone is one of the main reasons I saw this film...and don't get me started on Dr Kafka!! It was an enjoyable/fun film..it wasn't the best but it wasn't as bad as some people make it out to be...

Why do they keep wanting to rape spiderman so much? just follow the [frick]ing comics they have a huge gold nugget in they're hands but they keep insisting on panning for more

Another small thing that bugged me was Goblins hissing and licking his teeth XD It seems stupid but for some reason I hated it!

Get rid of the hipster vibe. Oscorp is too involved in these movies, having the villains all accidentally come from there is too convenient

@EthanSmith

Can't we all say Tobey Maguire could've been a great Spider-man as well and it was more of the writers and Sony's fault too? Cause if we just attack one actor, but don't do it for the other, I don't think it's a fair game.

Spiderman & Peter looks very old, cocky, arrogant and emo in the film.. Which in the comics and cartoons he's young intelligent, funny, geeky, awkward student..

As Spider-man he is comedic wise cracking but never disregard others safety..

And everything in the movie starts at OSCORP... very cliche..

@EthanSmith

Funny thing is a lot of people think it's acceptable/fine to hate on Tobey Maguire like it's fault for the way his Spider-man was played, but they get butthurt when Andrew Garfield gets criticized for being an awful PP/SM and don't say it's the writers' fault.

So it's okay to hate on Tobey Maguire and ignore the writers who wrote him on the screen, but it's not okay to hate on Andrew Garfield and ignore the writers who write him on the screen.

This is what I find.. funny: the dysfunctional pattern of criticism.

I'm not going to pay to see the next Spider-train wreck.

If the next one does turn out great (and it had better be better than just good) I'll buy it used on eBay.

Sony doesn't get my money anymore.

Fox, you're on notice.

Sad thing is that Spider-Man in the movie looks great! But they didn't even make the characters around him match up.

Movie Electro

Static Shock from DC

Real Electro

See the difference? You made Spider Man fight a DC character instead of a Marvel one. That is a fail on the most basic level! Why can't you get standard character design down? You have nobody to blame but yourselves for this Sony, you could have fan support but you want to do some weird social experiment instead of telling the story you are supposed to. You honestly deserve every bad bit of press you get. Because you don't respect the content. And the 'icing on the cake' is literally what Electro is supposed to look like in the 'secrets' promo. Stating that you just don't care.
