We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

oh really? you didn't change the suit cause to many fanboys of the raimi movies kept bitching about the suit from the first movie? riiight, if people didn't complain we would have the same suit

Ironman suit is my number one choice for best.....Spidey is much improved and my second choice for suit awesomeness.

and don't get me wrong, i love the new suit, best spider-man suit in film so far, but it is blatantly obvious that they changed it due to people complaining, the suits in the first 3 raimi movies didn't change cause people didn't complain, okay they made small changes between movie 1 and 2, but most people wouldn't notice, at the very least when you change the suit have an explanation in movie as to why, and apparently they don't. That is already a strike against this movie, hopefully its as good as my friends have been saying it is

I agree with Superman8

The costume doesn't matter as much as how the person fills the suit.

Fits like a glove

With the bad reviews and all the movies coming out in May this movie will need help to do more than 750.
The summer releases depent too much of the opening weekend and the predictions are only at 95 millions.

This suit is not even red (at least in the stills).

MrCool

They made a new suit so they can sell more toys. Same reason there's a new costume in every CBM nowadays.

It's the definitive Spidey suit. Straight off the page of the comics. Garfield is a great Spidey. Movie may have its flaws but it looks like a fun adventure which is what a Spidey film is supposed to be.

@TDD

yep. everything i've seen of this one the material looks cheap. not mention it gives him no muscle tone whatsoever. screech could be under that thing for all we know. no definition at all.

maguire suit was perfect. the colors, the texture, the web, the belt. and i love the eyes. everybody going all nuts over the eyes on this one bc theyre big, but the maguire eyes looked fierce and dynamic. were a great update from the comics and cartoons.

perfect spidey suit.

Suit looks good, though its basically a variant of the Raimi one - which isn't to say its a copy, just both are good adaptions of the comic costume.

Seeing the movie on Friday, going in with extremely low expectations.

its the same freaking cloth texture used in the first movies!! c'mon
Just change the eyes from the first film into the ones he has now. it reminds me too much of the past trilogy when the attempt is to bring about a "new retelling" of the story

While I like both costumes, the one Tobey Maguire wore was the best.

Why? Because they were able to get it right the first time around.

I always liked the TASM costume. It felt new. Its the freaking eyes that messed it up.

Raimi's vs. was like the comicbook 70's feel jumping straight out the pages, INCLUDING THE COSTUME!!!, not a fan of the rebooted origin story that destroyed the essence of spider-man, but I'm going to see the new one tomorrow with higher hopes this around.

While I was riding the train home, yesterday, I saw a poster for this movie in a train station. There was some graffiti written all over (3 places), so naturally, I felt inclined to figure out what it said. Turns out some idiot wrote the massive spoiler about the movie on the poster. You know the one, since some moron came here and did it also. Maybe it's the same moron going around the world spoiling the movie for everyone in every way possible.

It's insane. I've never seen anything like that before.

^Spider-Man's eyes change shape and size all throughout his comics based on how he feels. There's no definitive shape.
