THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Final Trailer Sneak Peek

Sony has released a sneak peek of their upcoming and final trailer for Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. It's a 30-second clip of Spidey leaping off a building and swinging through New York City. Check it out.

By nailbiter111 - Mar 18, 2014 06:03 AM EST

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

I have a feeling this will be "The Dark Knight" for Spider-Man. And as badly as I want Spidey to cross over to Marvel Studios, I can't pretend that I don't smile when audiences everywhere start naming the webslinger as their favorite superhero.

The practical effects of webswinging in the first Spider-Man were cool, but there's something far more WOW-inducing in using cgi for those effects.

If it weren't for Raimi there would've been no "Amazing Spider-Man 2 Web-Swinging" Simple as that. lol

I'm thankful to Burton's Batman and Raimi's Spider-Man, but that shouldn't and it won't prevent me from acknowledging how breathtakingly AMAZING this film is shaping up. I agree with Ashes2Phoenix, this is looking like it'll be the CBM of the year, and quite possibly one of the genre's very best.

If you watched that and have nothing to say but complain about the number of trailers, get out.
That score, with that swinging. I just can't understand not loving the ability to see this.

Spider Man is such a great character I couldn't be happier to see such web slinging

DestroyerofHaters

Unfortunately you can't please everyone. I personally love Spider-Man for his ability to swing like this. It is unbelievably epic, especially with the score. The complaints about I have already seen this because the trailers give to much away, are frankly ridiculous. The film is just under three hours long according to the article posted today. I don't think 15 minutes worth of footage is going to hurt the experience. Captain America has released the first 9 minutes and a 4 minute preview, including trailers, tv spot and featurettes, yet there are no complaints. I am not saying everyone who says we have seen too much is a hater but I honestly think that is the last straw the haters have left to play with.
