If you remember, Stan Lee made an appearance in the first Amazing Spider-Man game as part of a DLC pack. This time, Stan the Man will be a featured character in the game serving as a comic book store owner and friend/mentor to Peter Parker. His comic book store will also double as a location where the collectibles gathered throughout the game will be stored and can be viewed. Check out the video below as he launches the game and be sure to click the link that follows to read his full blog post at Playstation.

Pick up The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, iOS, Android, Nintendo 3DS, and Microsoft Windows TODAY

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones as Felicia

I've played it for a few hours - graphics don't look that great on the PS4, and swinging is difficult to control, but it's not too bad so far.

Playing this game now on the PS4 and honestly it's mediocre this far. The combat and web swinging mechanics are a definite improvement from its predecessor. But the dialogue is horrible.

got the game today, so far it's alright, though I don't know, it felt like hey had spent more time in the first ASM game, graphics are laughable lol, and the swinging is dodgy aswell, story wise I'm not that far in but, it's alright, definitelly expected more though

Just beat the game (I've been playing all day) and I don't know what everyone is complaining about. The story was awesome, the way the intertwined all the villians, but Electro was a little weak. But the story was awesome and even had a constant theme, and the graphics were nice, always room for improvement in ANY game.

Kingpin sounds like a bad John Goodman impersonator. Best for me is still the Ultimate Spider-Man game.

The game's story itself is much better then the movie. Beenox always does good at cooking up their own stories and not simply rehashing the movie. 8.5/10 for me. Best Spider-Man game yet.

Sex is what keeps Hugh Hefner and Stan Lee alive is what I'm trying to say I guess...

Sex with hot young attractive 20 year old females...

Being able to bed cute girls when you're old is the American dream as far as I'm concerned.

but, but marvel games are better than DC games!
*/disengage sarcasm*

Marvelites are hilarious.

Seeing the first picture of the game i could already tell graphics would be inferior to other CB games (Batman: Origins, Arkham Knight)

Stan Lee is incredible. I am glad he is able to witness comics get to this level, but sad at the same time that he has seen his creations shit on by hollywood.

God, you guys... The game is really good. Beenox is still a young developer. They know the character, and their attempts only get better.

@ GoldSlayer1

I'm a gamer as well as a comic book fan. 98.9% of all Comic based games sucked because the developers half ass them to make a quick buck. The Arkham games, Marvel vs. Capcom/Capcom vs. series, and a hand full of other comic games are the only good Quality Superhero games. That's mainly because the companies behind them (Rockstar and Old school Capcom) are actually quality developers. Current Capcom sucks though.
