The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theaters July 3, 2012 in 3D!

WHY the EFF did they make his eye lenses GOLD?! That's the question that screams out of my face EVERY time I see a new image! ARRGGHHH. And WHY give him little holes in said lenses to see out of?! Are they incapable of having slick sun-glasses-like lenses WITHOUT said holes? Like in, Oh I dunno, the LAST 3 Spider-Man films?!

They go out of their way to NOT SHOW HIS FEET in almost every promo image, but when they DO, they photoshop his SILVER ballerina slippers RED, because even the marketing guys KNOW they SUCK, and try to cover it up.

They give him SILVER Rubber-soled shoes (which would impede his wall-crawling ability), then give him exposed SILVER web-shooters (which I'm fine with), but then give him GOLD eye lenses, to you know CLASH with the SILVER in his costume. **throws hands up in the air**

I just hope they learn from Ramis movies and not end this one with Gwen getting caught by the lizzard. In spiderman 1,2 and 3 mj managed to get her ass kidnapped at the end-_-

This movie is going to be more Spider-manish than the existing films and be more true to the comics and be great. Oh wait, I don't have a drop of shit to base those claims on. Never mind.

You didn't prove it's closer to the comics. You just named stuff that was in the comics. Things from the existing films are in the comics too. The only thing on your list that can qualify as being closer to the comics is web shooters. How do you make such ridiculous claims based on web shooters and they couldn't even get his costume right. And how do you know what the joke ratio is? lol He didn't make jokes in the last three films? Look, I can do what you did, but better.

1. A Spider-man costume
2. Mary Jane
3. Ben and Aunt May
4. Spidey making jokes
5. Comic origin story
6. Comic style ripped Spidey suit/mask
7. Flash Thomson
8. Jameson
9. Peter taking his own Spidey pictures
10. Super human strength with Spider abilities

So, what are we talking about here?
