Why I Feel That SPIDER-MAN Can't Fit In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Well, i can start with saying, I'm one of the few who actually liked Marc Webb's the Amazing Spider-Man. And really looking forward to the next!

Now, if they wanted to do a cameo (which that's mostly what fans want) it would work! I mean they are just doing a "Cameo" right? and not actually involving him in the same Universe (Did you loose me yet?)

Because realistically, Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man could never fit in the same world as the MCU Universe! OBVIOUSLY - They could make it work, i mean films can make anything work and have some sort of twist, even if that twist is awful, i mean think about it.

1. The events of TASM could be based before Iron Man 1.

2. The events of TASM could be during, or after the Phase 2?

Neither of those would work, Cause if it happened before, Tony Stark and Nick Fury would know who Spider-Man is because of everything that happened in New York with the Lizard, i mean.. something like that cant just happen and nobody hears about it.

Tony Stark - "Spider-Man? who's that"

Nick Fury - "That's classified for now.."

I'm not saying that's the way the scene would go, No matter which way, It wouldn't be able to be pulled off. I'm pretty sure after TASM. Everyone who watches the News, or has a TV would know who Spider-Man is.

There is no, NO, Way in hell that, that could be classified. haha

Why it couldn't work during / after, is because when they are in New York wheres the OSCORP? Haha, or where is Stark Tower?

Now i know I'm getting really into it, and maybe taking it too seriously, but I'm just saying.. It wouldn't work, Say so many years later and that's when TASM takes place, The world would still know about the Avengers.

It could have worked, but they would have to start planning from before Iron Man 1 even started, or after.. but it's far too late to involve Spider-Man (serious role wise) in the MCU.

LIKE I SAID BEFORE : They could always work around, Or do something, but i bet you money that it would be a super corny way of saying "Oh he was there the whole time, we just didn't know if we needed him" type of thing haha.

Favorite Comic-Book characters are, Spider-Man, Magneto, Hulk, Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man, Ms Marvel.

Favorite movie turned Characters are, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine and on...

I study Film, and Direct, I look beyond the main focus of the film (the Hero) i also look at the way it was Filmed, Tone, Seriousness and Humor, Along with Acting and other...

LOVE cheesy humor (Spider-Man's humor) but sometimes super-hero films are just cheesy instead of funny cheesy.. I'm one of those fanboys who actually care if the film is good, instead of not caring if its completely cheesy or not. :)

These are pretty weak arguments. Why does it matter when Spider-Man is set? Each of the other heroes has their own adventure, so why can't Spidey? And so what if everyone knows the Spidey exists? Why is that a problem? Because he wasn't in Avengers? Not every superhero gets to automatically become an Avenger, especially if Fury knows Spidey's secret identity and doesn't want to deal with a kid.

It's not gonna happen because studios don't want it to happen. But there really isn't a strong case story-wise why the ASM couldn't meld into the MCU.

Yeah, they should've gone through with the whole editing Stark tower or Oscorp into the movies.

Bad reasons, just because a superhero exists doesn't mean he/she HAS to be referenced in EVERY movie. So spiderman doesn't need to be referenced, and same with the avengers. Oscorp tower and stark tower are minor details. There is never really a skyline shot in TASM were stark tower would fit. And in the avengers there was only 1 show (and a short one) so its not much to worry about.

Spider-Man works better as a solo hero. He has enough rich history and great stories to be adapted on screen without bogging it all down in SHIELD or the Avengers.

Maninfinehat he doesn't need to have shield or the avengers to be in the MCU.

Ummm.....how about saying that he didn't get his powers until after the Battle of New York? As for the buildings, I'm pretty sure we didn't see every single building in New York in either film, so that makes no difference at all. As for referencing the Avengers in TASM, he's a high schooler, he's in his own world anyway.

Not to be mean or anything but these are exceptionally weak excuses but I don’t honestly want Sonys Spiderman in the MCU.

TASM and Garfield, IMO, are great.
It could work though if you had SHIELD responsible for the cleanup and Parker approached shortly after.

I like Spider-man better as a standalone character.

Spider-Man is a better hero on his own. However, that doesn't mean he can't be in the MCU.

For the love of god, why do so many people think that just because a character exists in the MCU that they are automatically going to be Avengers?

Also, like someone else said, why couldn't the events of TASM taken place after the battle of NY? Spidey getting his powers is part of the events of TASM. So why couldn't he have gotten his powers after that? It would explain why Fury didnt try to recruit him and also why Spidey wasnt defending the city during the invasion.

These reasons dont make sense.

How you see Spider-Man wearing tights all the time without taking his mask ever off in normal talk scenes or kinda like that? How can you see that happen?
For Example, in scene where avengers team is in big flying invisible ship and they are talking.... how you see spider-man standing there, wearing skin tight suit, mask on and talk too? It looks too wierd.

Why do people think only a small margin of people liked TASM? Lol it's not GL, it's about as popular as SM1

you know it could still work. what if the avengers or shield or anything were in the amazing spiderman but was never ever mentioned(like never showed every single thing or spoke about shield) And as i remember from the incredible hulk iron man was never mentioned until the end. throughout the whole movie i dont think he was mentioned.
