Will Sony Imageworks deliver a great Spiderman movie in special effects or will they need help?

Sony Imageworks delivered a better Spiderman movie as far as special effects is concerned, but with some shotty moments. Will Sony Imageworks deliver with Amazing Spiderman 2? Or will they need help from other special effect houses to helm a bigger effects picture.

Sony Imageworks has worked on the three Sam Raimi Spiderman movies and the previously released The Amazing Spiderman by Marc Webb. The Amazing Spiderman was by far the best outing by Sony Imageworks since the raimi series. With some shotty moments of the lizard, but good overall special effects. Since there are more characters in the new movie, will Sony Imageworks need help helming this picture? Usually Sony does everything in house and works only with their special effects company. But,is it time to be stubborn? And not ask for help? Marvel/Disney owns ILM (Industrial Light and Magic). Sony is in the Marvel family, for the sake of Spiderman and his new franchise it's time to call up ILM and lighten the load.

There are 2 announced villians in this film, Electro and the Rhino and a possible appearance of the Green Goblin.ILM is one of the best special effect houses in the world, alongside Weta. Which both worked on the Avengers and made it beautiful.Rhythm and Hues(which previously worked on the Life of Pi) would love to work on the Spiderman movie, by rumors I am hearing of people losing jobs there because of lack of respect of the effects industry. Marvel/Sony you have everything avaiable to you from Marvel and their family. Make the Amazing Spiderman 2 beautiful. We deserve it. The fans deserve it. if you can change the costume because of the chants of the fans, then you can upgrade the special effects allowing ILM to work alongside with you.And maybe give Weta a call as well.

I am going to start a petition and a chant with the Spiderman fans all around the world, to chant better special effects for Spiderman in this new franchise. We deserve it, the fans deserve it, and above all else...

Spiderman deserves it.

Good grief.

The effects in TASM looked fantastic. Rather than starting a petition, learn to spell and get a life.

The effects in The Amazing Spider-Man were great. I think Sony Imageworks will manage just fine. There's no need to complain and start a petition. Plus, most petitions are useless.

SpidaTrav, seriously, what age are you? You have no idea what you're talking about.

For one thing, the Lizard effects were fantastic in TASM. The design could have been better, but the effects were top notch, as were all the effects in the movie. The Amazing Spider-Man had some of the best effects I've ever seen.

Yes, there's always going to be an upgrade after every movie. There always has been, so you can expect the effects in TASM2 to look a little better anyway. The effects in the Sam Raimi movies were NOT terrible for their time, quite the opposite in fact. Sure there were some moments were a CGI double might look fake, but nearly all CGI heavy movies have a moment at some point in the film that makes you go "that looked really fake."

Your petition won't do jack shit. Even if they did get someone else to do the effects you wouldn't notice the difference.

"Upgrade your special effects circuit boards"?
You really are thick as shit.

Obviously these people who do the special effects so the absolute best they can with the time, money and computer power they have. You should know this.

There were some flaws in the film, visually, TASM was awesome!

Not worried about visual effects.

I place my concern on story and characters - things that definitely could use an upgrade based on the last movie. Gonna have to agree with @SotoJuiceMan on this one, bud.

Trav. God damn it. You're embarrassing yourself.

THEY DO THEY BEST THEY CAN WITH THE CGI. What you're seeing IS the best. The best they can do with their time and money, that is, but still the best. I don't understand how you can expect the effects to overall be any better than they're actually going to be after a couple of years. You're so dumb and intentionally ignorant. Stop it. Do some research. If you knew anything about CGI effects, you wouldn't be saying this.

I liked the effects in the first movie. I thought they were really well done. Better than the first 3. Given that the technology has improved in such a short amount of time but either way.
