Sick of Suicide Squad yet? Course you're not! Though promotion for the David Ayer-directed DC flick has certainly kicked into high gear ahead of its release early next month, because the marketing team has done a great job of keeping any major reveals/spoilers under wraps, fans have been generally fine with glimpsing the occasional new image or bit or footage.

Empire continues that trend with their latest cover, which provides a new, yet somewhat familiar look at the motley bunch of bad guys - sans Joker, that is.

It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

Suicide Squad stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, with Raymond Olubawale as King Shark, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Adam Beach as Slipknot. Directed by David Ayer.

Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5, 2016. Will you be there opening night?

Love the OVERLY visible gun on Waller's hip.

@KrazyForKomix - That caught my eye right away as well but all I could think was that no body that carries a gun all day would carry it that way. It is a glock 19 i am guessing, which only has a safety on the trigger and she has the trigger fully exposed. that is the worst way to carry it.

@BatSlam -
She could've been holding it.
She could've been aiming it.
She could've been wearing a shoulder harness wear we don't see the actual gun itself, but it's implied that she has one.
Or they could have just shown her without it. The trailers have made it abundantly clear that she's a badass.
ANY of these choices would have looked better.

@KrazyForKomix - now that seems pretty damn harsh. you're bitching about prop placement on the hundreth ss magazine cover.

like where that gun is is so extremely unimportant.

Calm. Breath.

I'm still looking forward to the movie in a big way. Love Viola Davis. I think this is going to be a blockbuster movie.

It's not that big a deal. We're just having a conversation here.

Sheesh, I hope you never express dissatisfaction with anything . . .
at all . . .

ever.

@KrazyForKomix - you talking to me like I'm angry is weird. I thought you were being needlessly angry.

I think we are both victims of assuming the other is mad.
