POLL: What Did You Think Of SUICIDE SQUAD?

Is it the best DC film since The Dark Knight? An entertaining but flawed joyride? A train-wreck? Those are just but a few of the quick reactions folks are posting online after watching Suicide Squad.

After a very rough start is the DCEU heading in the right direction after its third release?

Personally, I found Suicide Squad to be more enjoyablethan Batman v Superman as it had a more even flow throughout the film, compared to the roller-coaster highs and lows of Dawn of Justice. The film has also added VERY interesting characters/villains to the DCEU that, regardless of whether you feel they were misused in Suicide Squad, you have to be excited about where they could potentially appear next.  Will Deadshot show up in Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie?  Will Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang appear as one of the Rogues in The Flash?  Could Katana costar in that rumored Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey spin-off?  The possibilities setup by Suicide Squad are much more dynamic and far-reaching than those presented by Dawn of Justice.

Potential aside, the film itself clearly has a lot of material cut and as seems to be the case with every DCEU film thus far, the editing was incredibly jarring.  Despite these flaws, the film somehow still managed to be adequately  entertaining and the characters were memorable (except for Slipknot).

What did you think of the film?  Take our poll below and keep the conversation going in the comment section.

FILM SYNOPSIS:  It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

@Spider2YBanana - I enjoyed it a lot. I thought the performances were charismatic and appealing. I found the humor funny. And the choppy editing didn't bother me so much that it killed the film for me. I even liked the crazy witch, as generic as her master plan might've been.

@BackwardGalaxy -

dc fanatics complaint and complaints about how "generic" Marvel characters are, how too much fun those movies are
BUT

(BvS or SS)
suddenly
IT'S OK ???

WOW !

dc fanatics have double standards and soooo bias towards Marvel

@Spider2YBanana - Same hear. I went in thinking it was going to be a terrible movie like Batman v Superman but the movie ended up being good even with all it's flaws. I mean it's not perfect but it was an enjoyable movie.

I didn't enjoy this movie. After being excited for it for the longest time it was a huge let down for me. Most of the characters weren't engaging and I think I laughed maybe 2, 3 times. Leto's Joker was awful in the few moments we saw him.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED SUICIDE SQUAD

It's one of the purest COMIC BOOK adaptations i've ever seen, it's as though a comic book came to life on film. If you look for flaws there's many of them but i just sat back and enjoyed the film on the visual level it was intended to be seen and had a blast with it.

If you've seen the film and didn't like it, hey thats okay but don't hate on people who loved it.

I gave it a 9 out of 10...infact it's only behind Batman Returns and Dark Knight on my ALL TIME CBM List.

My ALL TIME CBM Top 10

1: Batman Returns
2: Dark Knight
3: Suicide Squad
4: Old Boy
5: Superman (1978)
6: V for Vendetta
7: Akira
8: Hellboy
9: A History of Violence
10: Ghost in the Shell
