SUICIDE SQUAD: Amazing New Look At Jared Leto's Burned Up Joker From Alternate Ending
We know from the trailers that Suicide Squad once featured an ending we're never going to see but the movie's cinematographer Roman Vasyanov has now shared a revealing and detailed photograph from that.
Suicide Squad was butchered in the editing room and through extensive reshoots and that led to some major changes to the relationship between The Joker and Harley Quinn. After the negative response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. decided to try and lighten the movie's tone and that involved taking out the scene where the Clown Prince of Crime tries to kill his supposed love.
However, after throwing Harley from that helicopter (to kill her, not save her), The Joker still crashed in that helicopter but later returned to try and kill Task Force X, a moment seen in the movie's trailers.
The alternate ending has never been released but thanks to Suicide Squad cinematographer Roman Vasyanov (via Batman-News) we now have a new look at the iconic villain from that scrapped sequence. As you can see, he's not actually scarred or burned from the crash and instead appears to just be covered in soot or dirt of some sort. Also below is another shot of Jared Leto as the bad guy.
It's a shame we'll never get to see this scene from Suicide Squad but at least this photo provides a new look at The Joker ahead of his possible return in The Batman or Gotham City Sirens! Thoughts?
