SUICIDE SQUAD Director David Ayer Debunks A Long Standing Rumor About The DC Comics Movie

Like Justice League, Suicide Squad went through a lot of changes thanks to reshoots and a messy post-production phase but director David Ayer has now cleared up one huge rumour about the movie...

Before Suicide Squad was released, a Hot Toys action figure surfaced showing Jared Leto's Joker rocking a modified Batsuit. Other pieces of merchandise also featured the Clown Prince of Crime as this deranged Dark Knight and when he didn't appear in the movie, many fans assumed that, like most of the villain's scenes, this sequence had ended up the cutting room floor. So, what exactly happened?

Well, director David Ayer has now taken to social media to confirm that this Joker-
ised Batsuit was never going to appear in Suicide Squad and that a costume like this was never really created for Leto.

This makes sense thinking about it as it's hard to say where a costume like this could have fit into proceedings (it would, however, have been awesome to see The Joker battling Task Force X while dressed up as Batman). The villain's entire confrontation with the team was removed as a result of reshoots, though, so that was never going to happen! What do you guys think? Sound off below.

The sequence itself actually became the floor? How poetic.

I still can't believe with all the bullshit they kept in the movie, they decided to cut the squad fighting joker. Like what. The. [frick].

@BloodyBed - yeah man i feel like that arkham movie was the reason why they probs didnt wanna copy it. But they should have just done it

@NOVAtheSUPA - I suspect that In the original script, Harley chose the Squad over returning to the Joker, and that fueled the confrontation. When they decided to appease test audiences by having Harley and the Joker truly be “in love”, that whole subplot fell apart and a confrontation no longer fit.

@Chewtoy - that's actually probably right, good guesswork.

@MrBillCipher - can't do. I've been reading the feeds for years. First his posts were few in between. But now he has 5 posts on the main page. Ridiculous! !!! Other authors are complaining they post articles first. I want to see what other authors posts. Hell, I logged in after being a member for yrs. To speak on this travesty. No I won't leave him alone. I will once he starts to post actual news. No next posts or sentences with " what do u guys think?". That's lazy writing.

@cfho83 - My favorite thing isn't even the click bait titles or the lack of content (I remember that "article" made about a 5 words tweet), but the way Josh talks to us like we're his pals from middle school. That's really annoying.

"Hey guys, this news is earth-shatteringly groundbreaking, come check it out!"

@Asturgis - Glad I'm not the only person that realized this. Agreeing to wildings posts is like saying we agree with microtransactions. Sadly , but true. Reading the posts and not saying anything to me, is a crime in itself. We need to make this an issue on this site. We should speak up until one of two things happen. He stops posting or does his content right, with actual news. He posts b.s. so that he can get top billing. Thats where the two sentence posts come from, he just trying to beat the other guy. Well he needs to stop. Like I said, I've watched for years as his posts became more prominent on this site. I wouldn't have broken silence if his posts were actually well written. But they aren't. I've read many posts from other members that claimed that they've written the same articles but didn't get credit. I'm sick of wondering would those posts have been better than what wilding put out. Now I'm sure they would've been way better. Nothing will change unless we speak up. I'll speak up first if I have to. Help me expose this shit.

@cfho83 - I hear you, I really, truly do, and I'd be the first to want Josh to stop his click bait bullshit and work on more quality content, but it is literally never going to happen. As I've said to a few people already, I brought this issue to Nate's attention in the most respectful way possible before this summer, and he kindly answered, and that's almost a direct quote, "I used to think like you, but then I saw the numbers. Statistics don't lie, it works."

At least he's not a hypocrite. His priority is making clicks, and Josh is the best at that. We already "won" the fact that we can view lists on one page now, which was a big issue to many people. Now, I believe that great content would bring in more clicks and visits than click bait articles, but we can't force the staff to do that. It's our community but it's their site, and they're free to choose their editorial line, and how to write their content.

One thing is for sure. The staff (whether they're paid or not, I have no idea), should try and do like Waylon used to do, and be proactive instead of just making an article after another site breaks the news. Send mails, tweets, to the hard-working people surrounding the movies, specifically the crew members, engineers, technicians, secondary actors, and so on. I'd rather read an interview of Gal Gadot's personal trainer about how she prepared for the role, or about the costume designer who made Black Panther's suit and what a challenge it was, than have a Megan Fox photoshoot I can find anywhere.

With that type of content, the site would boom even more.

@Asturgis - understandable, well I guess I'm going to have to start posting. I was avoiding this outcome. Major reason being I used to run a site for 3 yrs. I loved evry moment of it. But I got extremely burnt out. I always pisted information to the best of my ability and was constantly asking my follower for ways to improve the site for them. Hell, I camped out sites and sources just ti have complete and juicy news first. But I didn't have time for myself nor my family, so I removed my site . I will start posting here just to make our point heard. Lets do this guys.
