UPDATE: New SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer Is On The Way

It seems we're getting a double dosage of the DC Extended Universe this month and another big comic book movie trailer before Star Wars: The Force Awakens as a brand new teaser for the highly-anticipated Suicide Squad has been classified. Check it out the after the jump!

After giving us to that awesome new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last night, Warner Bros. is seemingly gearing up to release some fresh visuals from Suicide Squad, the second much-anticipated installment to the DC Extended Universe. Though we got an early first look at the David Ayer-directed adaptation thanks to the San Diego Comic-Con sizzle reel, the first official theatrical trailer has now been rated by the British Board of Film Classification (via Comic Book).

This new Suicide Squad teaser apparently was "passed uncut" with an approved 2:59 running time, so be on the lookout for that in the near future! Perhaps, this  will be the fourth or fifth comic book movie trailer attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, following Captain America: Civil War, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, X-Men: Apocalypse, and possibly Deadpool. In the meantime, rewatch the sweet Suicide Squad Comic-Con sizzle reel below in anticipation. What do you think?

UPDATE: False alarm folks! Unfortunately, it's been brought to our attention that this newly classified Suicide Squad trailer is actually the very San Diego Comic-Con trailer that you see below. According to Twitter's Antovolk, the sizzle reel being classified now is due to it being featured on one of the upcoming Warner Bros. home releases. Sorry folks!

Directed by David Ayer from his script, Suicide Squad stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jared Leto (the Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), with Raymond Olubawale (King Shark), Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Jim Parrack, Adam Beach, and Scott Eastwood. The film releases on August 5, 2016!

Well the update basically means this article is pointless and should be taken down, but I guess you'll leave it up with the same headline for the clicks.

Im probably one of the few that is glad that it isnt a new trailer, do the usual trailer roughly 6 months before the movie (so late January/early February) or screw it, leave it til Batman v Superman comes out, dont want to give away too much too fast

I'm okay with it not happening. I do think the next SS trailer will be in front of BVS though. What better way then to show what comes next than before another movie in the same universe.
