From what I'm getting, this has nothing to do with him being involved with other DC projects, just that WB has first dibs on his scripts.

Why him why? On a lighter note there is better choices then him. I would have liked to see WB go with Ben over him. If they want him to write the scripts. Then I hope they allow Guillermo Del Toro to at least direct Justice League Dark and use his script writer. Because at least then some good news comes out of this bad news.

The DCU...officially the saddest grumpiest non-heartwarming universe ever. Can't wait.

First look deal doesn't necesarily mean he will be the 'godfather' of the DCCU. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it means that his own personal projects will first be shown to WB, and then if they pass, he can take them to other studios. He doesn't own the DC characters, so DCCU projects will never be 'his', they will always belong to the studio.

David Goyer's Man of Steel was a disappointment.

Um, people - This doesn't really mean all that much for the DCCU. I'm sure it's a part of it, and it's very interesting, but I think it's got more to do with other, non-CBM related films, too. This is not exactly confirmation that he's the 'Feige of the DCCU'. Far from it.

Um, "first look" isn't "godfathering the DCCU". WB wanted Nolan for that and is probably now looking at Affleck.

That said, keeping Goyer closer is a smart move for WB.

@mrmegadeath
Goyer didn't give us the best CBM trilogy, it was Christopher Nolan, Goyer gave us a great BB script, but he also gave us a sh***y ghost rider, a (frick)ed up blade and a horrible MOS script. I dont want him to write anymore
PS: im not a MOS hater, it was an ok movie for me
