Add James Franco’s name to the list of actors showing support for Ben Affleck in the roll of the caped crusader. While at the Toronto film festival he was asked about his opinion of the ‘Batfleck’ casting. He not only praises Affleck’s acting and directing skills, but also makes some pretty bold suggestions for the direction of the Man Of Steel Sequel:

“I think he's proved himself now as both a director and an actor…..But I will say he's best in the movies he directs. Maybe he should direct it. I think he should direct it.”

When asked about Affleck’s role as the man without fear in ‘Daredevil’ and complaints about him suiting up again, Franco stated:

“Daredevil' wasn't my favorite movie, but I don't blame Ben for that," he said. "As an actor, there's this crazy thing where you could be good, you do good work, but then if you're in a movie that's not so good, they blame you... That's just crazy thinking.”

So there you have it. Should Ben Affleck be sitting in the director’s chair for Man Of Steel 2 or do you trust Snyder to get the best out of him? Sound off below

Starring Henry Caville, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburn, the sequel to Warner Brother's 'Man Of Steel' will be directed by Zack Snyder and written by Zack Snyder and David S Goyer. The film hits theaters July 17th, 2015
