A bunch of items from the Man of Steel production are headed to auction and among the usual movie paraphernalia is an item belonging to Lois Lane (Amy Adams) that's traditionally worn on the left hand and signifies .

Recently a bunch of items from the Man of Steel set showed up on various auction lists. For those that don't know this is pretty standard Hollywood procedure. Included on the list were a bunch of items used by Lois Lane including 3 straws, 3 blue pens, 2 hi-lighters, a post-it pad, pencils, a Rent-a-car receipt and a (faux) diamond wedding ring. All usual stuff...wait diamond wedding ring? In all seriousness, this raises some interesting possibilities for Amy Adams' can-do reporter gal. Is it possible that Lois is divorced in Man of Steel or engaged to someone else? In comic book history, Lois has dated a few other men besides Clark Kent including Jonathan Carroll (DCnU), Lex Luthor and a couple of others (help me out in the comments section, it's late and I'm drawing a blank). There's also the possibility that the ring is from Clark and he proposes to Lois by the end of the film. We'll definitely have to keep our eyes peeled during the next trailer and see if we can spot Lois with it on.

I'm betting it's a ring that is a fake set up for her going undercover. They did the same in Superman 2.

Or maybe it's her Mom's ring or something... speculation could be endless.

@ MrEko - No Justice League cameos in Man of Steel, it's a stand alone movie as far as WB/Goyer/Snyder are concerned.

If it's a sucess, Henry will, sadly, be implemented in their shared universe. If it isn't, well, WB can move on with the Batman reboot and keep making them for 20 years.

@ Asterisk - Why? Superman is long overdue for an origin tale on the big screen. The last time he had one was in 1978...35 years ago...

@ MrEko - And I don't think Lois and Bruce ever dated, I know that assclown Bruce Timm made it so in the World's Finest movie, but that's cause he's douche and he wanted to make Superman look like a puss and Batman look badass. In the top comic, Lois was already married to Clark and she was flirting with Bruce to find out why he was here. I don't know where the second is from, must be a dream.

@ Superotherside - I love it, it would make the beef between Lex and Superman all the more personal.

And I honestly don't see Superman popping the question in the first movie.

Why does it matter about her hair colour, look how much it improved Bosworth's performance not. Some of you are so petty hair colour, no red pant or supermans hair curl. A character originally from the 30s has to evolve or it won't work on film or comic. I for one can't wait for this movie and because my expectations aren't like they were with TDKR I can see me being surprised like I was with Batman Begins.

maaannn...i do share superguy15's sentiment...PLEASE, let's not repeat what singer (dumbass-ly) did in superman returns by having this b.s. love triangle whatever in this reboot. let's just focus on the- well..MAN OF STEEL, superman.

but..if they do have lois married, or in a relationship with another dude..that might explain why they cast the "too old for the part" Amy Adams for the role. as you can tell..i still wish snyder had cast someone younger, like rachel mcadams or michelle monaghan as lois.
