I'm one of the few people who liked Sucker Punch. I love Zack Snyder's work. But man, the dude must not be allowed to talk! He says "you know" and "like" throughout the interview. I get what he's saying, but his inability to articulate what he means damages his credibility as an expert film maker.

Warner Brothers HAS to make a sequel; right now, it's all they've got in terms of DC. Besides, the movie is now about $150 million in profit, plus there's the $160 million they pulled in from promotional tie-ins and, then, there will be several hundred million more from Blu-ray/DVD, which should put things close to a billion dollars. Is it Iron Man 3 business? Not even close, but certainly profitable to the point of leaving no doubt there will be a follow-up.

@TheManofTomorrow that's what some critics think - that Snyder is a boy going through puberty trapped in a man's body. Good thing movies are a combination of several things, most importantly the visuals, like you know what I'm saying?

I'm only guessing, but, like I said, if they ultimately make $500 million in profit from Man of Steel, that's a pretty good incentive to push forward. Again, they need to if they are seriously going to try and get a "movie universe" going.

It made more then Thor, Captain America, X-Men First Class. And made more then Iron-Man 1 before adjustments, it still has a few more weeks in theaters so by the time it is done MOS will beat IM1 after the adjustments too.

@DoubleD WB had to have known that MOS would not have done better then a 2nd and 3rd movie in a franchise or a Team movie that had 4-5 major characters from other films. Also MOS did better then the X-Men films from Fox. Fox has other films that they produce also but the are still making X-Men films.

@ doubled, there has to be a sequel on the way, wb isn't stupid they made the money back already, so obviously they see the franchise potential. This movie is a hit, and its made more than both captain america and thor, both are with sequels coming up as well. You're right dc dont make the call it's wb, but when have you known the warners for turning down cash?

@Ineedrevelation Also like I said earlier MOS made more money then Thor(16 wkends) and Captain America (16 wkends) and has only been out for 4 weekends. It has already beat Iron-Man 1 (22 wkends) before adjustments also. When it is done MOS will have beaten Iron-Man 1 after adjustments as well.
