Easter Eggs I want in "The Man of Steel"

Easter Eggs I want in "The Man of Steel"

Here are some things that I, and other fanboys, would love to see included in "The Man of Steel" if DC can persuade Chris Nolan to open up his universe views...

As Clark Kent and Lois Lane work in the Daily Planet, a big world wide newspaper, then this is the perfect opportunity to expand the universe with big selling newspapers such as:

JOKER TERRORISES GOTHAM

BATMAN: HERO OR VILLAIN?

GOTHAM MOURN DEATH OF DENT

WHO IS THE BATMAN?

HUMAN JOINS GREEN LANTERN CORPS!

ONE OF US JOINS ALIEN POLICE FORCE

BRUCE WAYNE RETURNS

OLIVER QUEEN RETURNS

Other places where Easter Eggs can be placed is in off chance remarks. TV screens featuring the news could be showing the events that take place in "Green Lantern" or "The Dark Knight" and saying how the world is filling up with heroes. Also something along the lines of this (Superman just revealed himself)

Jimmy Olsen: We need to give this guy a name, like Batman.

Jimmy Olsen: This guy looks powerful cheif, like stronger than Green Lantern powerful.

It has to be Jimmy Olsen with the easter egg line, he is like a fan inside the movie watching all this unfold and loves it all. We get a sense of what that world is like through him.

There are plenty of ways to include the rest of the unvierse but will Nolan do it, that is the question. Time will tell, hopefully he will. One person who I am most desperate to see on the big screen after Superman is Martian Manhunter. He is one of my favourite characters and could be like Nick Fury, obvserving all of the heroes that are emerging on Earth knowing that a dark threat is coming, Darkseid! If you want a full Justice League movie script I wrote that was Darkseid invading Earth, contact me and let me know with your email address. Thanks.

Do you have any Easter Egg ideas you want to see in The Man of Steel, Batman 3, Green Lantern or Flash? Let us know in the comments section below.

Sounds very good. All suggestions are great. The only question is: Does Nolan want his Batman franchise to have a part in the DC Universe? I think that someone would want to ask Nolan before we all assume that it would work. Great article though.

If he doesnt want the universes to cross with Batman's then just have every other movie happen After the Third Batman. Nolan did say that the next Batman movie would be the last.

I like those ideas. How about Jimmy says something like: They say he's really fast chief! You think he's as fast as that red blur in Central City?

But I'm not really sure about the whole telling the origin again. I mean, who doesn't know Superman?

Yeah, they definitely need to start opening up the DC universe as Marvel Studios have been doing with their movies!

On a seperate note - Dave Nichols: Why did you email me asking for cash, lol!? :P

I would like to see cameos of the actors who were in the first Superman movies. Maybe Gene Hackman, Margot Kidder, and/or some honorable reference to Christopher Reeve.

I want a scene in BATMAN 3 where Batman is sitting in the newly built Batcave and brooding and researching stuff on the latest villain...A piece of batshit falls on him...

I personally want to see the Following Easter Eggs;

1. Acknowledgment of all the DC cities. Keystone City, Gotham, so on and so forth.
2. I also want to see News Report of Strange Astronomic events occurring in the skies.
3. Someone reads a report of The Batman in Gotham.

and my favorite of all!!!

The film ends with Superman victorious from an Epic Battle with Brainiac(or Metallo). It shows the world Go into a state of shock like never before and and then a media frenzy. Then you see a dark cave like area with a Massive monitor and you see all these archives and data files being pulled up of Aliens, Fringe, Mythology, Theology, Astrophysics, The Supernatural, UFO's, and the Superman event.

Then you hear Michael Caine's voice:
*Sir?*
*What are you doing?*

Then you hear Bale say
*Research Alfred......Research*

Caine:
*On what? The hole Superman thing?*

Bale:
*That!.......and More*

Credits! FANGAZIM!!!

"I'd like Jimmy to turn of a tv and say "WOW..Smallville sucks!!" lol :D"

Get David Goyer on the phone right now!

If they could, I'd love to see Lois going into Luthor's office for an interview or something and in the office a certain billionaire is shaking hands with Lex, and as he walks out he picks up something Lois dropped and she says "Yeah, thanks, Mister-" and he replies with "Wayne, you're very welcome." Then Lois would be all like cool and then realize who that was and Lex would be all "Yes, Mr. Wayne's a very frequent visitor, when he's not cooped up in his cave of a city". Something like that would be sweet IMO.

I want them to mention not just Batman but all of the Justice League members.

Like

Man Gets in Science related Accident.(Flash)

Men Find a Mysterious Island.(Wonder Woman)

Sightings of a Winged Man Cause Scare.(Hawkman)

All of these of course are part of the the Daily Planet news articles.

"I don’t think our Batman, our Gotham, lends itself to that kind of cross-fertilization. It goes back to one of the first things we wrangled with when we first started putting the story together: Is this a world in which comic books already exist? Is this a world in which superheroes already exist?"

OH!!! Yes! DC EASTER EGGS!

J. Olsen: That Green Lantern is really cool or what Clark? That ring and those constructs!
Clark Kent: Well, I dunno Jimmy. To be honest, he seems way too flashy for my taste.
Lois Lane: Thats because you dont have superpowers, Clark.
Clark Kent: You got me there, Lois.

Martha Kent: Have you heard of that crazy vigilante that dresses up as a bat in Gotham, Clark?
Clark Kent: Oh yeah, the Batman of Gotham City.
Jonathan Kent: I heard he has done a good job there. Cleaned the streets of criminals.
Martha Kent: I read that he murdered Harvey Dent, the district attorney.
Jonathan Kent: You know better than to trust the papers version of the truth, Martha. The media portrays Lex Luthor as a hero on a regular basis(!) I would bet my old truck that the Batman isnt what the papers are making him out to be.
Martha Kent: Hmm. I dont know. Clark, arent you going to Gotham in a few weeks?
Clark Kent: I am. With Lois. We are actually doing an article on Harvey Dent.
Martha Kent: Well, be careful. I dont want you near that Batman character!
Clark Kent: Dont worry Ma. Like I ever would consort with the Batman.

Daily Planet Newpaper headline:
Oliver Queen - Star City's New Mayor;
"Social reforms are going to start now!"

Olsen talking to a woman at the Daily Planet:
J. Olsen: Iris West! Of all the people I excepted to see around here!
Iris West: Jimmy Olsen! How are you?
J. Olsen: Good! I'm working a lot with Lois Lane and Clark Kent. How about you?
Iris West: I heard! You've come a long way! I am moving up as well.
J. Olsen: So what brings you around? Trying to catch the man of steel on camera?
Iris West: Yeah. Heard you got your own hero. A lot of them showing up now.
J. Olsen: Yeah, its kinda strange. You know what, we can go spotting together later if you wanna? I know just the spots!
Iris West: Great! I've seen your work on the Superman. The pictures are kinda blurry, Jimmy. Thought about changing lenses?
J. Olsen: Well.. No.. Its because.. Because he always is on the move. Anyway, you wanna do some catching up?
Iris West: Sure!
Jimmy yells to Clark: I am going to catch up with an old friend here Clark, think you'll manage?
Clark Kent: Well, Jimmy, I really need some help with...
J. Olsen: Great!
- Jimmy leaves the Daily Planet with Iris. Next scene: Coffee shop -
J. Olsen: I gotta say that's some nice angles on the front page of Oliver Queen! So what lense are you using?
Iris West: The new ..... (she mentions some kind of camera lense)- I got from my new boyfriend at our 2 year anniversary.
J. Olsen: Oh? New boyfriend again? You dated a new guy every single week in college.
Iris West: Well, I was searching for the right one, you know. And now I think I've found him.
J. Olsen: You have? I am impressed Iris! Whos the lucky guy?
Iris West: He is a police scientist back at Central City. His name is Barry Allen.

- Any easter egg would blow my mind. I just had to write this. But its highly improbable! But one can hope!

Beware easter eggs power to make dc fanboys craaazy!

@messenger87 that would be super epic !!! but i doubt nolan will put his batman along with other superheroes. which is stupid. let's hope the next batman director will be more openminded. bale IS batman. he has to work with other heroes. if nolan doesn't do that (which probably won't happen) then someone else has to do it. unless we have some kind of reboot with a less realistic batman. which would probably suck given the fact that the nolanverse has been super amazing until now. nolan said that his batman can't exist in a world with other superheroes because he would have no purpose. he became batman because there was no one else to help the fight against crime. so according to nolan if he discovers more heroes he should quit. but what if batman was the first? after the 3d batman he discovers superman and tries to work with him. that would make sense. i would love any easter egg as long as it is visible. not just a phrase or something like that. i want to see barry allen for example, not just hear about him. just like i saw nick fury in IM and tony stark in TIH.

I've done a Superman reference in my Batman 3 fanfic.

Here is the reference:
Why didn’t u find out
that WBUARNEECY is the identity of the bat?” All of Sudden, Gordon gets
knocked out. A cop wakes him up and he sees the jumbled words are gone.

The press asks what happened to the rest of the riddle. Gordon says,
“Batman knocked me out before I could read it and my guess is that he
got rid of the words.” The camera shows a dead guy with a paint brush in
his body. The reporters say, “Do you think this has to do with the
rumors about the guy wit an “S” on his chest? The one that can leap tall
buildings in a single bound.”

Gordon says no and that he doesn’t think he exists.

Great easter eggs! Tyler and Messenger: really like you guys'.

Anyway I really hope they reboot the Batman francise. It really hurts me as well, but to all of a sudden make the series not super-realistic would hurt even more. They need to restart with it being in sync with the rest of the DCU.

You can introduce Superman into the Realm of Nolans Batman by introducing him as a world event like never seen before. It needs to be a level of shock, amazement, and fear like the world has never seen before. To grab this fiction and make it believable in a real world. Not just parties in the streets and news paper prints and joy. It needs to be fear a global lock down in fear he may want to take over or destroy us.

It can be done. And Done Beautifully at that!

In Superman Returns Lex stabs the Man of Steel with a kryptonite shank. I remember seeing blood left on the piece Lex was holding after he broke it off. What if they follow a simliar story line like the animated Doomsday movie and use Supermans blood to accidentally make Bizzaro? Some one with Supermans exact powers could make an awesome and epic fight seen. Similiar but much better than the end fight seen in the Matrix Revolutions. Plus having a grotesque deformed handicapped version of Superman would give it a dark tone. Like a Hunchback of Notre Dame feel. I'm not saying that they should continue the storyline from Superman Returns I just couldn't think of another way that Lex would have access to Supermans blood. I like the way The Dark Knight went to a dark tone. I think Superman would be great in the same way. I also think that for DC to eventually make a Justice League movie you have to do what Marvel is doing and connect all of the movies together in some way. You can't just expect all of them to show up not knowing who the other person is.

One thing is for sure about the new Boyscout movie, he has to have an epic fight. A fight like in the comics. Not with regular villains but beings of almost same caliber as Kal El, like Mongul, Darkseid, Doomsday. Please let Superman die in one of the movies, it would be AWESOME!

Beware my power.

I'd rather not have any "easter eggs" in The Man of Steel, because seeing as how Superman is my #1 comic book superhero...I'd rather the movie focus SOLELY on him. This is what i believe to be his FINAL film...seeing as how the Siegels will own him by 2013. So if this is indeed his last film, just let the film focus on him and him alone. Besides, Superman was originally supposed to have a cameo as Clark Kent in the GL film but the director decided to cut him out because he wanted sole focus on Hal Jordan. I say the same for Superman- NO easter eggs.
