Henry Cavill Will Play SHERLOCK HOLMES In A Movie About The Literary Detective's Younger Sister
Man of Steel and The Witcher star Henry Cavill has been cast as famous literary detective Sherlock Holmes in a movie that will focus on the character's younger sister, Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown).
Elementary, my dear Superman.
Henry Cavill is set to play a new big-screen incarnation of Sherlock Holmes, but he won't be the focus of the movie. The Justice League and Mission: Impossible actor will star alongside Stranger Things alum Millie Bobby Brown as the famous detective's younger Sister, Enola Holmes.
The film is based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries book series by Nancy Springer, and will focus on "a missing teen whose father has been murdered."
Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeny Todd, Fight Club) is also on board as the sleuthing siblings' mother. The movie will be helmed by TV director Harry Bradbeer, who has previously worked on the likes of Sugar Rush, Fleabag, and Killing Eve.
What do you guys make of this news? Is Holmes a good fit for Cavill? Sound off in the comments.
