"You know what else I've realised? There's absolutely no reason to call him Superman in this film, as the whole world already knows his name is Kal El thanks to Zod. So why call him Superman?"

If that's what people start calling him, that's who he'll be known as. People do that all the time. It's like people labeling Selina Kyle as Catwoman. Kal El is his real name, it's not a secret identity.

Also, it's a SUPERMAN series.

EDIT: Oh, never mind. I just looked up your other comments. You're a MOS Troll. Carry on.

"Well excuse me for not liking MoS."

I don't care if you don't like it. I responded on the chance that you were genuinely confused about something as simplistic as creating nicknames. Then I saw similar comments you've made and realized what you were doing. Sorry I interrupted.

"In Man of Steel there's no reason to give him a nickname since the whole world knows he's Kal."

um... EVERYONE with a nickname has a real name. If you couldn't get a nickname because people knew your real name, NO ONE would have nicknames.

@Omega

Yeah, I think the whole Glasses disguise is so ingrained in Superman history that it's almost impossible to omit- even in a new take on him. Or who knows, maybe they'll tackle it. In the BIRTHRIGHT story, they come the closest to making it believable. Clark and his Mother get together to not only try to disguise his face, but transform him entirely through body language and speech. Attempting to make the claim that he's Superman absurd.
