Superman: Genesis Fan Trailer - How Tom Welling SHOULD Have Been Presented as the Man of Steel

Fan favorite SouperboyX has come up with another winner, with the teaser trailer for a fan edited film called Superman: Genesis, which presents Tom Welling as the Man of Steel far more effectively than the series finale Smallville did.

Why was there a shot of 'The Destroyer'? (his foot anyways)

And was the actor who portrayed 'Godfrey' supposed to be Luthor?

Very cool though. Like the SR clip and the Lois/Superman kiss.

Epic trailer! That would be an awesome teaser if they thought about continuing Smallville.

This was a good fan made trailer. The scenes with Welling in the suit almost look real. I enjoyed it.

@PuyGuy: look up what "Fan Trailer" means, dude. OF course it's fake. If you somehow went in trying to believe that is was partly real, then you're an even bigger idiot for thinking that - but if that was the case, then the guy who made the video did a good job and you inadvertently complimented it with that belief.

Sooner or later someone's going to make an entire two hour Tom Welling Superman movie out of Smallville and movie clips.

Then Welling will sue them for using his likeness without permission.

That was hella good damn Ed, really nice editing skills there!

Towards the end of that trailer, that was always my favorite part of the song. I mean in the trailers for "Superman Returns" too bad the movie [frick]ing blew major chunks. But that song at the end was always the most thrilling. Does anyone else here know the name of that song? I mean the part of the song at the very end of ed's trailer.

So @Ed this is going to be a real fan film made with smallville footage? Its not only gonna be the trailer? The way it was worded seemed so

@PuyGuy ummmm its a fan trailer and says so all through the article. Of course its fake. Someone is off their meds

The only weak thing about this trailer is Destroyer's foot being in it. Too random.

HulkPool, that's my understanding. The edited film is supposedly going to come out in July.

for the record, i was just pointing out what i saw. hence the words "i saw." haha.

i am in no way complaining about it. obviously they changed them and/or edited them in ways to make it (somewhat) fit into the story being told by the trailer.

@HarrisonBergeron
ah, yes. you're right. that was the only one i knew was from something else but i wasn't sure what.

@PuyGuy
you're an idiot.

the trailer was incredible, Souperboy always does epic stuff.

The thing is, he has just shopped Welling onto the scenes from Superman Returns. If they had the rights to simply edit the scenes from Superman Returns, they could have done incredible stuff too.

Returns wasn't the most successfull, but the visuals were incredible, i think they even mo-capped Routh swimming to make the movement lifelike.

But isn't this how Smallville ended? He flies off to stop the planet. I liked the finale it covered pretty the whole 10 years of the show.

Great Ceasar's Ghost, that was Epic. Way better than anything I saw the CW put on the air for the Finale. Good Job.
