Some new stills have been released from Superman: Man of Tomorrow, the upcoming DC Animated Universe reboot which promises to set the stage for a new era of stories set in the DC Animated Universe after Warner Bros. once again hit the rest button on these adventures through Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

In Superman: Man of Tomorrow, "Daily Planet intern Clark Kent takes learning-on-the-job to new extremes when Lobo and Parasite set their sights on Metropolis."

The impressive voice cast sees Darren Criss (Hollywood) play Clark Kent, while Star Trek's Zachary Quinto will voice the villainous Lex Luthor. True Detective's Alexandra Daddario stars as Lois Lane, Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) is Lobo, Ryan Hurst (The Walking Dead) takes on Parasite, and Ike Amadi (Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge) is Martian Manhunter. Piotr Michael voices Perry White, while Jonathan and Martha Kent are played by Neil Flynn and Bellamy Young.

It's a killer cast, and definitely one of the DCAU's most impressive ensembles to date.

In these stills, we get to see more of the new-look Man of Steel as well as Lex Luthor, and what looks set to be a fun meeting between Superman, Martian Manhunter, and badass bounty hunter, Lobo.

Love the new art style! I think the suit needs a little more yellow in the belt area but the rest is great. Excited for this.

Honestly not a huge fan of the new animation style. I guess I'll have to see it in motion though.

I actually prefer the New 52 movie style (despite the movies being sub-par). The style reminded me of young justice

You know I wouldn't be suprised if this movie does well, that it gets used as a major inspiration for a Superman reboot. It would just make the most sense; it seems to tick all the boxes business-wise for what a studio thinks people want from a Superman movie, Such as:

-An updated/new origin story that also feels familiar.

-Introduces characters that have never been seen in a live-action movie such as Lobo and Martian Manhunter (Which could also be used to set up their own franchises if they wanted to go that route).

-Gives a chance to redo portrayals of characters that some may say were not done correctly in earlier interations *cough Lex Luthor! cough*

-Also they'll probably give him back the trunks I guess EVEN THOUGH THEY SUCK.

p.s If this reboot is being directed by J.J Abrams *shudders* then the only way I could even be remotley comfortable with it is if Damon Lindelof was the one writing the script. After watching HBO's Watchmen, I am sure he would treat the material with great respect and also say what you want about their individual work but him and J.J seem to do some good work together.

Also cast David Corenswet as Superman because he'd be perfect and you know it lol.
