SUPERMAN Teaches Us About "Respect" On Sesame Street

Man Of Steel actor Henry Cavill may have broken Zod's neck at the end of that movie, but he gets a chance to redeem himself on Sesame Street. I guess he teams up with someone else before Batman! Check it out after the jump..

He’s starred in one of the year’s biggest movies, donned the tights as a cultural icon and become the object of affection for millions of film fans in the process. Now, British actor Henry Cavill adds a cherry on top of his gourmet sundae of a year by swooping into “Sesame Street” as the long-running show’s 44th season kicks off today.

In the premiere episode entitled “Don’t Get Pushy,” Cavill appears in a “Word on the Street” segment alongside Elmo, the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf. He joins the crew to help teach kids the meaning of the word “respect.”

Dear Mr. Henson,

Every time I watch a modern Sesame Street segment, I realize just how much the show needs and misses you. Respect.

Lolz, no way would glasses help conceal his identity. We live in a world where the new world order spys on us and kills us with drones and chemical trails. Clark Kent would not be safe from facial recognition.

How sad, that even Sesame Street who can teach toddlers values and life lessons cannot teach you anything like respect.

Ironic that elmo teaches about respect, when the creator of elmo is a pedo.

I have a 3 year old. The celebrity guest spots on Sesame Street make it bearable to watch (and some of them are pretty good).

Man- I wish he'd break elmos neck-

That would be as awesome as obi-wan beheading jar jar with a lightsabre.

Some body fancut that. Make it happen.

In fact let cavill break elmos neck, roast big bird on a big rotisserie and ride snuffalopagus off into the sunset

Mcgee is a great camera guy, because he can always be a stand-in if needed.

That's how "shaky cam" was invented.

Always leave it to the CBM community to make mountains out of mole hills. Next we'll hear "Cavill's hair is receding!" And "Thor will out gross MOS!"

It would have been great if Cavil would have immediately grabbed the Big Bad Wolf and snapped his neck and yelled "RESPECT BITCH!"

Hey guys! My movie beat every Phase 1 Marvel movie except the one where they all had to team up to stop an invasion Captain Kangaroo could have stopped alone.

Respect!
