You don't need her at the beginning, she could come in at the end and it would be a great tease for the sequel.

Remember we have no idea how they're approaching the story, it could be heavily based on Clark being abroad or just being in the States or Metropolis, not necessarily Daily Planet til later.

I like what theyre possibly thinking. Its almost an orgin story, but its not. Dont have all the main characters at once. Focus more on the character of Superman and why he becomes who he is, hmmm like batman begins, which was awesome.
