NINJA TURTLES will be directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Wrath of the Titans"), and produced by Michael Bay ("The Rock"). The script was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The cast includes: Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Danny Woodburn as Splinter, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Will Arnett as Vernon and William Fichtner as Shredder. It lands in theaters August 8, 2014.

One question... Since when do we slap the Producer's name on everything? Is it to give the film negative stigma right from the get-go?

Bay's not directing this, why not put the director's name on the articles? I know it's not just this article, I'm just sayin...

OMG they better be careful...they wouldn't want us to catch a glimpse of the turtles from a teaser or a trailer.
They lower their guard and BAM...we may get a leaked trailer.Scary. I don't even want to think about it.

Bay is definitely better known than Liebesman. Liebesman has directed a few films, none of them great...

Wrath of the Titans
Battle: Los Angeles
Killing Room
Darkness Falls

And a few lesser known projects.

But, with all the bad mouthing that Bay gets around here, it would make more sense to attach the director to the movie, maybe placate the Bay haters a little.

My point exactly. But in those cases, it added hype to the movies. No one knows who Henry Celick is...

But Bay has a terrible rep on this site and many like it. It just seems to put a negative spin on the whole project.

Leonardo is a badass, dressed in old asian garb like a [frick]in' samurai. Raphael's coolness stems from his tank-like appearance. The other two are whatever.

Yeah, Raph and Leo are definitely the best designs.

Donnie looks pretty skinny, but from what I heard, they were going for a 'nerd like' vibe with him. And Mikey looks like Mikey, goofy.

I'm not font of how Michael Angello looks like ..but I'm digging his brothers

I hope we get a good movie about the turtles because they deserve a one at least...and we can always hope this movie will deliver the goods

Such shitty designs.

The look that has worked since the 80's-Nickelodeon's show has always worked. They don't need clothes or extra accessories. Shredder looks like Sauron let alone changed to being a white man. Just reeks of shit across the board. And I agree, it's time for a trailer or at the very least posters, official pics, etc.
