The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

Went in with very low expectations, actually ended up having a good time. Sure, there's plenty of flaws, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. And the turtles fx were truly excellent.

I know. It's irritating. I keep trying to explain to her that all I ask for is 13 Saturdays. That's it. We can do whatever dumb shit whenever it pops in her whimsical brain. Just give me 13 Saturdays to watch the Notre Dame game. Nope. 4 minutes before kickoff she wants to go couch shopping.

Had low expectations going in to see this movie. My daughter really wanted to see it and so did I a little bit and it was a fun movie. Was it great, no but it was fun and I think some movies now a day's are trying to be too serious and stuff. This movie had some funny parts to it that not just kids were laughing at but also adults. I am no fan of Michael Bay but he's not directing only producing which is why I think it was a better movie than most people give it credit for. If you haven't seen it go and watch it but do it with an open mind.

Agreed kaijunexus. Terrible movie. And the sad part is I am a huge TMNT fan but from the changes to the origin story, no backstory/rivalry between Shredder and Splinter, the Turtles', Foot Clan, and Shredder's designs, the unnecessary additions of clothes and armor to the turtles, and the overall plot of the movie, this reboot film sucked.

I seriously didn't know that ILM did the effects because yes, Josh, we do not all agree that the effects were amazing. The Turtles don't look real. They don't. I'm thinking it's a specific problem with making cg characters that are green. The Hulk has had this sane problem in all of his movies, but is getting better. Maybe they should have gone the different skin tone route. I always liked that my TMNT figures were different colors.
