Here's the latest tv spot for Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Picture's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It features the now familiar voice-over from Splinter admonishing the brothers to "live and fight as brothers."  There's also some brief, new footage shown as well.

The live-action TMNT movie will hit US theaters on August 8th and is directed by Jonathan Liebesman. Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco all contributed to the script. The film stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub.

SYNOPSIS: The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan.

I can't help it, I still think Shrek, especially when he takes of the mask at the end of the trailer.

It should be entertaining though

They look like they're out of the Scooby Doo live action movies. They look fake. At least with the rubber suits I believed that they were standing there. It looks like a trailer for a video game not a movie with actors in it. I'm still wondering when Al Sharpton is going to take issue with their appearance as well.

I feel like I'm being tricked into thinking this movie is going to be ok/good. When I'm quite certain it won't be.

That said how much do the turtles weight that everywhere they land concrete breaks and cracks? seems silly

Jack Trammell's trailer music is so nondescript. Glad this film isn't getting a lot of love.

It is bothering me that they look really enormous. In the comic they were smaller - like four or five feet tall. Martial arts were created by smaller people. There is a contextual power implied by something small defeating a muich larger foe, larger not only in numbers but in physical size. Hollywood seems to hate male heroes under 6 feet tall (except hobbits, I suppose).

Also, I have yet to see Megan Fox actually "act"... like an actor might.

I've hated everything about this movie since day one. However, now that they arent aliens and shredder isn't fichtner, i do become curious actually. ill prob watch a bootleg first to see if its worth paying to see.

Michael Bay is gonna Michael Bay. 80% of the people will think it is mediocre/shitty or barely passable, while all the kids will eat it up.

@RebelVulcan

Shredder is not American in this film, it was debunked in the recent trailer and also Liebesman did WRATH of the Titans, not Clash.

@AsgardianHobo

Michael Bay is producing, he's not directing, that's Liebesman's job.

@Superior are you really going to stand by argument that Michael Bay isn't responsible for this train wreck. Are we supposed to think that Shredder looking like a Bay transformerer and the turtles appearances wrecking of Michael Bay's Trademark racism and incompetence is just some kind of coincidence?

Grow a brain dumbass

I've been super pumped up to see this movie for quite some time now. I think the turtles looks great & the special f/x incredible. I'm just wondering now what this is gonna be rated. I'm hoping it lands a pg-13 rating. I also hope it proves all the nay-sayer's wrong.

@jimdotbeep

Look here jackass, I don't know who you think you're talking to, but there better be another Superior on this damn site because you're about to get your ass handed. Unless you were behind the scenes or production making this film, then you can prove me wrong and call me a dumbass. But let's be honest, you're not doing anything with your life anytime soon. Sure, we can all jump to conclusions. Jumping to conclusions is fun. But what if I jumped to conclusions and called you an ignorant sweaty dick-riding nolanite that [frick]s his hand more than he talks to any person and plays it safe by releasing how he feels online? Even though it's pretty accurate, you wouldn't roll with that shit would you? Now, I'm pretty sure that you're butthurt over that new Transformers because that's probably all you were looking forward to in life, but just because he's a producer and Michael Bay, you don't have to be insecure and blame everything on him. Bay isn't responsible for this trainwreck because since Liebesman is a director, the film is told in his vision and outlook.
Invictor
Invictor - 7/5/2014, 3:18 PM
When Bay is announced as the screenwriter and director for this film, then you can call him responsible for this supposed "trainwreck" you've already seen.

@Superior So now you're going to give the tired old argument that it's somehow impossible to tell a movies quality from the Trailer. Since your too dumb to figure any of this out let me explain a few things The Turtles look more horrific than most horror movie monsters. There is going to be a white guy in the shredder armor which apparently stole from Saki. Not to mention certain calling cards of racist black people stereotype in the turtles themselves. Megan Fox is playing the female lead and this is just going to be more constant explosions to distract from the lack of a good story.

And about Michael Bay's producer's role somehow not effecting the film or its quality. The producer has the final say on EVERYTHING in a movie. If you can't see all the hallmarks of Bay's "style" in the trailers and promotional material you must be retarded. But I'm sure rather than come up with counter arguments to anything I've said thus far you'll retaliate with more bullshit you've made up about my personal life.
