The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES directed by Jonathan Liebesman ("Wrath of the Titans"), and produced by Michael Bay ("The Rock"). The script was written by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, based on characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The cast includes: Megan Fox as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Danny Woodburn as Splinter, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Will Arnett as Vernon and William Fichtner as Shredder. It lands in theaters August 8, 2014.

After I saw TF4, I am staying away from anything related to Bay. This looks like garbage from the very first trailer. The turtles' designs look horrendous and the whole film itself looks like nothing like the cartoons we grew up with, just a pointless money grab. My opinion though. Seeing "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" tonight and looking forward to it.

This looks awesome and I can't wait. Also, a lot of ppl were hating on the fact that the turtles looked huge next to Megan Fox who's actually pretty short. But you can tell when they're next to foot clan soldiers they're pretty close

The beatboxing in the elevator is worth the price of admission alone!!! Lmao. You guys are only concerned with their appearance and not the quality of the story, action, or characterizations...

why watermark the trailer like you own it? Isn't that illegal since it's property of Paramount and Nickelodeon???

@DawnOfJustice

I know, right?
The jokes aren't even lame and stale like I assumed.

I won't be too hard on my self about it though.
Hollywood has made me very cynical.

This actually looks like its going to be a lot of fun and more importantly FUNNY! Every clip that has a comedic element to it completely works even in the short clips. Mikey appears to be nailed by the voice actor as well.

I think some people may need to be prepared to change their views, instead of blindly sticking to them because they don't want to appear as though they were potentially wrong about this film. Nothing I've seen so far makes me think this film will be awful as so many on here have said.

@venom0706 - The cartoons you "grew up with" were also a "Pointless money grab" since they were kiddie versions of the original comics that were a whole lot more violent and totally underground press.

Stay away from all things Bay related if you like but this looks like fun and Bay didn't even direct it. This was made by the guy who did Texas Chainsaw 2006 and Battle Los Angeles.

@Nitric Jonathan Liebsman:
William Fichtner isn't Shredder. He's Eric Sachs. Shredder is played by another actor. He's not all CG. You see him without his armor on. When he's in the armor, there's an actor, but he's been augmented. Like in "Iron Man," it's CGI.

Meh.. warming up to this a little. Not much though. Regardless of whether Bay is directing or not he's still involved and that's honestly what scares me.

You guys shouldn't expect some Dark Knight quality superhero film. This movie just like TF is for entertainment and money. They're just feeding off the success of the cartoon by making a movie(s). Don't expect much from this. It's going to be entertaining as hell though.

@rangerstorm44 Thanks. Yea i figured as much since when i bought my nephew some toys from the new movie i looked on the back and shredder looked more traditional. Less armor and you can see the skin on his arms. Hoping the makeshift iron man suit doesnt look like silver samurai in wolverine and at some point it is more traditional.
