Stephen Amell's 'Casey Jones' Grabs His Weapon Of Choice In New TMNT 2 Set Pics

Whatever has Casey Jones (Arrow's Stephen Amell) spooked in these set images from the currently shooting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, it seems he's gonna need his trusty hockey stick to deal with it. We also have our first look at the movie's new logo...

The Casey Jones character has always had a very specific appearance in TMNT lore, but this new big screen incarnation is a much more clean-cut looking vigilante. He's played by Arrow actor Stephen Amell, and in this new batch of set pics you can see that something has both he and Megan Fox's April O'Neil very concerned indeed. We assume Amell will be sporting a costume at some point in the movie, but even still this new take on Jones is bound to ruffle some fan-feathers. What do you guys think?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is directed by Dave Green (Earth to Echo) with a script by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol). Fox and Amell will be joined by Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, Will Arnett as Vern Fenwick, Brian Tee as Shredder, and model Alessandra Ambrosio as herself.

I'm really happy for Stephen Amell.

This gives us 2 very big pluses

1 - It will bring more attention to The Arrow and The Flash on TV when he starts the press work. Every interviewer will bring up the shows as that's his main body of work. So this is a win/win for DC/WB/CW

2 - This will also give us our first glimpse on how Amell handles a big budget movie. I know it's a Bay movie.. but still.. 400,000,000 eyes world-wide will get a glimpse of 'Green Arrow', many possibly for the first time - and maybe if he owns the role, maybe just maybe, he will get to portray 'Green Arrow' on the big screen some day

I should be mad but i am not, It's Amell, my expectations are so low that they are right next to his acting ability. Was it that hard to put a wig on him?
He looks like Oliver Quinn, there is nothing even remotely that says "Casey Jones" here. I call it now, his mask will look nothing like the classic and will have that awful Shreddertron face design.

The original comic version didn't have really long hair either. A little longer than what we're seeing here, but certainly not "long".

It's not just the hair, it's his entire appearance in general. Jones has always been a very disheveled, grungy/rocker type... basically someone who didn't really give that much of a damn what they looked like because they were borderline nuts. Amell looks like.... Amell.

@Jollem, Longer Greasy hair is something that has lived on through almost all the incarnations of Casey so yeah it kinda defines him, it would be like clipping off Batman's ears.
