The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.

Marvel's Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Didn't the turtles use a retrofitted garbage truck? you know, to blend in with the city...

that looks so obvious that it would be the turtles that's inside.

I feel like the turtle van was a missed opportunity. It's one of the few stand-out cool things in that movie, and would've been perfect for an action scene. Instead we got 60 seconds of it at the end, blowing up GOB Bluth's car.

@DaneMendieta

I'm a Marvel fan and I thought Iron Man 3 was no good. They should have took it in a completely different direction. Not having a lame villain would have also helped. We got screwed out of this...

For this...

Pepper defeating him was also pretty lame.

Marvel fan here. Iron Man 3 was the furthest thing from a masterpiece, but it wasn't unbearable like some people claim. Just average, like Thor 2, Incredible Hulk, and TASM 1.

The Winter Soldier, tho. That shit right there is an instant classic.

@StarYeezus

It's not unbearable but I wouldn't watch it again. Compare it to Iron Man (2008) though and it's just summer schlock.

@dingbat

I agree. I was just watching Winter Soldier, marveling at how it makes Avengers look like Looney Tunes. And I love Avengers.

@StarYeezus

I just saw Winter Soldier a second time the other day and it's actually ridiculous how much better that movie is than Avengers. Cap's character felt a little off to me in Avengers.

@Dingbat 100% agree with you,

I love the contrast the two pics you posted have. I would even go as far as printing that and rubbing it in Marvel Studios' face in some way to show em how ridiculous their [frick] up was

the problem with Marvel fanboys is they'll praise Marvel movies no matter how bad they are that it makes them think they can get away with anything so they take more liberties on their property. I don't think Kevin Feige gets enough constructive criticism

amazing spiderman 2 > iron man 3

IMO

I actually like the TASM2 more also. It's not a masterpiece but it's a fun movie. I just couldn't get into IM3 and I've seen it twice.

@Dingbat

it was just another "superhero loses his powers and finds himself" plot, it was a silly move for them to pull after a full blown avengers. I think the little kid took up too much screentime and the extremis soldiers just arent as interesting as Mandarin coulda been. war machine was prolly one of the only good things about ironman2 but then they painted his armor and didnt give him anything to do..
Dingbat
Dingbat - 9/11/2014, 4:03 PM
@mmadadamm

That's completely true

my only gripes w IM3 was that we were All sold on a deception.

allow me to explain...

they sold us All on a trailer clearly showing Ben Kingsly as the Mandarin.
they sold us All on a trailer showing the IronMan army of suits.
they sold us on the fact that parts of IM3 were to be filmed in Asia with some deal or another allowing them to film there.

and instead of the mandarin unleashing Fin Fang Foom and IronMan utilizing his IronMan army to defeat it. they delivered us a bastardized version of the Extremis story-line and turned the Mandarin into a British crackhead completely ignoring the set up of the ten rings from the previous 2 films.

if i weren't a CBM fan, and if i hadn't any clue of the source material, i would have been as pleased as the general audience was.

my gripes aside. the acting writing and directing were first class. but the overall story and its so-called twists were a rabid disappointment from what i and many were expecting.

IMHO.

sansClaymore
sansClaymore - 9/11/2014, 4:57 PM
were they afraid that Fin Fang Foom would be too reminiscent of the chitauri worm carriers from the Avengers film? were they afraid that fans would be put off by an apparent laziness in repeating a villain-type by having a giant alien robotic dragon creature? were they afraid that the mandarins magical alien tech rings would take audiences out of their supposed "grounded reality"?

i dont really know, but i can tell you this...

if they had stuck to the Mandarins comicbook origins that the film did away with, the last film of the Ironman Trilogy would have been more epic in scope and a treat for comic-book fans the world over. i am disappointed that we may never see the true Mandarin in all his evil glory.

so heres to the 2035 reboot, may we be blessed with Fin Fang Foom, all the money we fans have poured into Disney-Marvel, we deserve an adaptation true to the source material. Hail Hydra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Mandarin was never great villian to begin a stereotype created during Vietnam to show Chinese Imperialism and the Mandarin does really exist in the Ultimate universe. Also this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe not the Marvel Comic Universe they dont' have follow source material if dont want to. Lastly they're different current incarnations of Mandarin. I loved the Mandarin Twist it show different side to the Mandarin. If people had a problem with the Mandarin Twist they should also have problems with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk they made change from source material people love those movies. Just my opinion on the subject at hand.

Iron Man 3 was darker than the previous Iron Man movies. I loved Iron Man 3 more than Iron Man 2 just opinion.
