why does it need to be funny?

why can't we get a TMNT like the comics, or even the 1st movie?

the animation looks good, but i am tired of the rehashed stupid funny TMNT, i want the gritty TMNT.

Okay, now I'm really excited. That logo is just like the old skool comix. It's dark and urban and ninja. Did you see that blade on Mikey's chucks? Dude! And look at their expressions. Mikey's smilin', Raph's snarling, Donny's got his game face on and Leo's full of passion. Perfectly in character.
Y'know, I was looking forward to this no matter what they turned it into. After the 4Kids cartoon, I was left entirely satisfied. Any other variation on the turtles would have been a welcome bonus, even if it differed wildly from the core comics canon. But this looks like it promises to give 4Kids a run for it's money. I mean, they did spend millions of dollar aquiring this. I guess they had plans, all along.
A carton with this kind of style and tone can only mean good things for seeing a faithful and possibly more adult (maybe even an r-rated, Snyder directed?) TMNT film.

@DukeAcureds- No. No R rating. The original film was close to the comics and it was Pg right? Pg 13 would be fine by me. And no Snyder. Tired of everyone suggesting him to do every comic/manga/adaption of whatever film that gets announced. Give someone else a chance. I would prefer a relatively young new comer to direct it. Thats just me though.

l0rdleg0las its Nickelodeon so if you were hoping to get a more dark and gritty TMNT then you were setting your expectations a bit to high. This is the same company that cleaned up Dragon Ball Z so much its basically a kids show now. As long as Nickelodeon owns TMNT don't expect anything over the top. Your in luck tho the new live action TMNT movie will be dark and gritty the bad news is its a Michael Bay film.
