Luke Evans Signs On To Play THE CROW
We finally have our new Eric Draven! After several actors have been linked to the remake, Fast & Furious 6's Luke Evans is set to play the title role in Relativity Media's new take on The Crow, which begins filming early next year.
Within the past couple years, several actors were linked to the lead role in Relativity Media's remake of The Crow, which is based on the James O'Barr comic books of the same name. Bradley Cooper was attached to star at one point, with Channing Tatum, Mark Wahlberg and James McAvoy being considered to replace him. Recently, we heard that Tom Hiddleston and Alexander Skarsgard were looked at, but now we finally have an actor for Eric Draven. According to Deadline, Welsh actor Luke Evans (who will soon be seen in Fast & Furious 6 and The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug) has been cast as The Crow. The actor currently has a busy schedule, having recently signed on to star in 2014's Dracula Year Zero, which makes this casting somewhat unexpected. In fact, filming was originally planned to commence this fall, but Evans' schedule forced production to begin early next year instead. F. Javier Gutierrez (Before The Fall) is directing. Brandon Lee originally played Eric Draven in the 1994 Alex Proyas-directed film. What do you think of Luke Evans as The Crow?
