Kelly Frye To Play 'Plastique' In Season One Of THE FLASH

We found out earlier today who will be playing Wildcat in Arrow this year (click here for details on that if you missed it), and now E! Online have revealed that Kelly Frye will play Bete Sans Souci, a.k.a. Plastique in season one of The Flash. The actress - whose credits include NCIS: Los Angeles and The Mentalist - will make her debut in the fifth episode. This take on the character is described as, "A bomb disposal expert in Iraq who, following exposure to the energy released by the S.T.A.R. Labs meltdown, Bette now has the ability to turn any object she touches into an explosive device. On the run from the shadow forces in the U.S. government trying to turn her into a human weapon, she finds an ally in fellow meta-human The Flash." So, it sounds like Plastique won't be a villain...at least not at first! It seems like a safe bet to say that the shadowy forces in the U.S. government are more than likely A.R.G.U.S., especially as the character has some connections to the Suicide Squad in the comics. What do you think?

Reading that the actress appeared in The Mentalist, I was hoping for the actress that portrays Van Pelt, she's gorgeous.

She looks like a cross between Rebecca Romijn and Shailene Woodley. Which is a plus in my book.

I do applaud them for casting some fairly unknown actors for big roles!
First Widcat, now Plastique. Keeps it fresh.

Yeah I really hope they avoid the whole one new villain a week thing. That was terrible in smallville. Arrow avoided that for the most part and made an interconnecting story the big issue, which is what flash needs to do.

I'm guessing they won't let Firestorm just show up and disintegrate all her clothes. Well, then again he is in the show…

Ummm... Why not wait until the season is well in its run to complain if its a villain of the week kinda thing. Honestly, i like what they're doing. People hav been exposed to the blast from the Star Labs accident. You really expect an entire season to be complete which should run about a year, & only two to three metahumans have been found. Especially when their mission is to find the metahumans created by the accident. That is gonna be the main arc of season one, Barry & team searching for the metahumans, as well as his investigation into his mother's death & father's incarseration, which will lead up to the season's big bad
