In the latest "Fat Man on Batman" podcast, filmmaker Kevin Smith has promised that his directorial debut on The Flash will be something special, and indicates he'll probably be back for another round.

"It is wonderful, dude," Smith told his co-host, Marc Bernardin. "First cut was 55-minutes, of my episode of The Flash that I directed. We got it down to the running time, it's 42-minutes. It may be my favorite thing I've ever directed. Now that doesn't mean like I suddenly don't like the movies that I directed. I wrote and directed those things. But this, just as a directing exercise — removing scripts and sh*t like that and about how I personally feel about material, whether or not it generated from me — I think this is hands down my best directing job I've ever done. Just directing. I feel good, and I've gotten some nice praise from upstairs. Sounds like I will be able to go back, unless they catch me with a dead girl or a live boy. I think I will be able to go back."

Not much is known about Smith's episode, other than that it will feature Zoom, will be written by Zack Stentz (Thor, X-Men First Class) and longtime collaborator Jason Mewes is also expected to appear in the episode as a metahuman.

Skip this show and write for Legends of Tomorrow. That show DESPERATELY needs help in the writing department, because they have no idea at all how to write time travel appropriately. So many paradoxes and inconsistencies (even in the same episode) it's not even funny.

@Luminus - It's not better on Flash, even worst because at least in LoT they're nottaking themselves too seriously.

This last flash episode was soooooo dumb god it actually shocked me..

@HappyHater - Come on, Flash is superior. There's absolutely no argument here. You can't sink the whole show because of one ep.

Supposedly episode 21 of Flash that Smith directed includes a post credits scene of Zoom assembling his own sort of Crime Syndicate.

I really enjoy Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow, despite probably having one of the hottest female casts I've ever seen in a genre show, made them all annoying as opposed to writing them as real human beings.

Had to delete Arrow and Supergirl from my planner for non comic shows.

I recommend Limitless a really good show and funny, with an engaging lead.

@SimplyAz - Yeah, Limitless turned out well.

@Luminus -

I was surprised by how much fun it is.

Jake Mcdorman for Booster Gold perhaps?
