Trailers for The Flash have teased a collection of Batsuits belonging to Michael Keaton's Batman, and it looks like Hot Toys plans to capitalise on that!
While it's currently unclear how many of these - if any - will ever be officially released, a new promo image showcases a total of seven costumes created by the Caped Crusader. Front and centre is the version Bruce Wayne will don when he joins the two Barry Allens in battle, while the rest pay homage to previous movies and the comic books in a lot of fun and unexpected ways.
For example, there's a classic Batsuit with a blue cape and cowl and yellow utility belt, along with technologically advanced versions which would look badass in action. Unfortunately, we don't anticipate seeing Keaton don any of these outside the costume already seen in trailers.
Had DC Studios decided to keep his Batman around, then we'd have no doubt seen more of these, but that's no longer the plan (the actor was originally going to reprise the role in Batgirl, Batman Beyond, and Crisis on Infinite Earths).
Check out the teaser image below.
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash races into theaters on June 16.
