THE FLASH Movie Was Supposed To Start Pre-Production Next Month Before Coronavirus Delay

Warner Bros. has halted production on everything due to coronavirus concerns, and it's now been confirmed that the studio's plan was for The Flash movie to start pre-production as soon as next month!

Aside from Andy Muschietti being the latest in a long line of directors to be tasked with working on The Flash movie, very little is known about plans for the DC Comics adventure. It's been through multiple writers at this point, and even though the Flashpoint title has been thrown around, we don't know for certain if it will be based on the popular storyline!

Screen Rant recently spoke to Stunt Coordinator, Eunice Huthart, about working on Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and she confirmed that her next project was meant to be The Flash.

"The project I was due to start is The Flash. I was supposed to start at about the end of April, beginning of May," Huthart said, "I'm not sure what's happening now with that." With pre-production pushed back, The Flash could be facing even more delays, particularly now that shooting on Fantastic Beasts 3 has been postponed.

Ezra Miller's busy schedule has already delayed The Flash, and if pre-production is delayed and work starts on Fantastic Beasts 3 later than planned, then that 2022 release date could be at risk.

With any luck, this currently minor delay won't prove to be too problematic for the Fastest Man Alive, as the film is already way overdue at this point, and fans are sick of waiting to see the Scarlet Speedster back on the big screen. He was last seen in The Flash TV show, but hasn't been in a movie since 2017's poorly received Justice League
