THE FLASH Races On To 4K UHD, Blu-ray & DVD On September 15 In The UK And Ireland

The Flash is already available in the US, and is set to race on to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD in the UK and Ireland just over a week from now on September 15. Now, Warner Bros. has officially revealed the cover art and a full list of extra features.

The Scarlet Speedster's first solo outing didn't perform very well at the box office (an understatement), but it did prove fairly popular on Digital platforms, so the studio will be hoping the movie finds a new lease of life on Blu-ray.

Do you plan on picking up a copy? Have a look at the extra features - which include quite a few deleted scenes - below, and drop us a comment in the usual place.

The Flash arrives on 4K UHD, Blu-Ray and DVD from 15th September.

The film is directed by Andy Muschietti with Ezra Miller reprising their role as The Flash/Barry Allen in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever standalone feature film. The Flash ensemble also includes rising star Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and Michael Keaton. The Flash is produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco. The screenplay is by Christina Hodson, with a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein and Joby Harold, based on characters from DC. The executive producers are Toby Emmerich, Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman and Marianne Jenkins.

Synopsis: Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?

I Love The Flash as a character and really wish his first solo movie wasn't tainted with negative and incompetent Actor and Director! Barry Allen always/should've been model after this:

@DCfan84 - same! I always held out hope but what we got was just underwhelming for me.

@TheClunges - Exactly! Sooo disappointed that his first solo movie was a bust. I honestly think Gunn should use Wally West as Flash! Since Barry Allen now has a disgusting after taste to his name

@DCfan84 - yeah I agree, WB/DC have literally already destroyed one of Barry's greatest stories on his first outing. Might be best for Gunn to just stick to Wally lol

I am not even buying mcu movies anymore, why should i buy this?

That being said, i enjoyed most the movie.
The cgi was crap and Aquaman was a drunk idiot, but it was fun to see Keaton and Clooney.

I wish they had only used living actors for the multiverse scenes and no cgi for them.

@Cozo11 - Yeah they are taking about UK/Europe release. Unless they misswrote the original article and edited it. Its been available on HBO MAX in my part of the world too for a few weeks.

As an example of how Warner Bros continue to 'screw the pooch' on this:

The 4K special features are apparently ON the 4K disc - NOT the accompanying Bluray.

If true this totally EATS into the disc space available - NOT making best use of the 4K format.

@BillyBatson1000 - Yeah, right.

Because the film looks so pretty and with such great CGI to make full use of the 4K format...

@kylo0607 - It's not about the dumpster-fire FX/'movie'. Just the /crassness/stupidity/'laziness?

The 4K format is the current highest standard for visual/audio on disc - and they negate that by using its scope for special features which should be on a second disc/bluray.

Real Question: Are any of you still buying actual DVDs? Not blu ray or 4k. DVDs.

Amazing they have been out for over 20 years and they still make them.

Yes sometimes but only second hand/bargain bin on stuff that are hard to find. Bought quite a lot of Sam Peckinpah stuff on DVD.

I watched it last night. It was bad- but not nearly as bad as everyone said. I enjoyed it for what it was.
