We've known for a long time now The Flash will feature two versions of Barry Allen, but a new still from the movie finally shows us the younger hero's makeshift costume in all its glory.
While the present-day Scarlet Speedster is decked out in a suit created by his reality's Bruce Wayne, his doppelgänger dons a modified Batsuit belonging to Michael Keaton's Caped Crusader. Despite the fact Barry is quite obviously wearing Batman's cape and cowl, this works surprisingly well and helps differentiate the rookie hero from his more experienced counterpart.
The highlight, however, might be Sasha Calle's Supergirl. She looks phenomenal, though this might be the first and final time the actress gets to play the Girl of Steel unless DC Studios enlists her for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Check out this new look at The Flash (via USA Today) below. A new trailer is coming later today, so keep checking back here for updates.
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian...albeit not the one he's looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry's only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
The movie stars Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdu, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue, and Michael Keaton.
The Flash races into theaters on June 16.
