Some new promotional art for Warner Bros. Discovery's upcoming The Flash movie has found its way online, and it gives us our most detailed look yet at the upgraded costume the Fastest Man Alive (Ezra Miller) will debut in the DCU film.

We have caught glimpses of this suit in concept designs and leaked packaging art, but this is our first proper look at Barry Allen racing into action in his new duds.

The costume is quite a bit different to the one the Scarlet Speedster donned in his previous appearances, and appears to be inspired by artist Francis Manapul’s take on the hero for his New 52 run.

Though no official announcement has been made, the first full trailer for The Flash is expected to debut during Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, Feb. 12.

We've heard that the movie went over very well in test screenings, and a recent trade report claimed that the Andy Muschietti-helmed superhero adventure has "tested through the roof," with one source praising the film as “Spider-Man: No Way Home good.”

Though no official synopsis has been released, The Flash will be (loosely) based on the Flashpoint comic book arc, and is still set to serve as a "reset" of sorts for the WBD franchise - although we're sure James Gunn and Peter Safran have made an all-new plan for the post-Flash DCU.

The Flash recently moved its release date up by one week, and is now set to race into theaters on June 16, 2023.

I can't help but think this movie is going to be a major bomb at the BO.

Majority of people are indifferent or outright turned off by Miller as the Flash.

DC movies in general ever since BvS have had lack of major audience goodwill.
There's just this negative perception of most DC movies -- whether it's true or not.

And WB probably overestimates the nostalgia people have for Keaton as Batman, whom I do love in the role - but the last time he played Batman was 30 years ago!

So lot of audience for these comic book films probably aren't even old enough to remember him.

As a DC fan, I do love these characters, but I don't find myself being overly excited to watch this...except maybe out of morbid curiosity to see the train-wreck this might be.

But maybe it might be a pleasant surprise...and is actually good?
I would love to be proven wrong!

I know people will probably say to separate the actor from the character, but his portrayal of the character is also inconsistent garbage and with James Gunn coming to DC and taking a 'burn it all' approach this film likely won't result in anything other than being worked into a reboot for the DC universe - a reboot that may not even stay in place.

Personally I'm tired of the reboots for DC, Blue Beetle and Aquaman 2 interest me but I'm unsure if I'll bother with yet another portrayal of DC characters in future. It's kinda the opposite problem of Marvel to me.

Marvel keeps going on and on and it's wasted a lot of characters that I'd like to see alternative versions on and its very risk averse.

DC keeps rebooting so I can never stay invested in the characters however it takes risks with alternate approaches to the characters.

Sony does a lot of alternate approaches to characters and is extremely risky in what it makes, however its unwilling to decide if it's doing solo movies or a connected universe.

@Lem1 - the Snyder costume worked as a ‘throw together from scraps’ costume. The actually costume has no right looking this bad. Thankfully we’ll never see it again after this
