It was announced not to long ago that actress Jaimie Alexander will star as Sif in Marvel's upcoming Thor. Well now according to Twitter, She has been training her butt off. Read the tweets from the bottom up.

but i am a Diora Baird fan. is Sif the role she was auditioning for, or is there still hope that the hottest woman on the planet will be in the movie?

This movie is gonna be Marvel's first EPIC film, great cast, great director, from what I read its gonna BIG. Thor's life is very shakespearing and with Brannagh behind the camera were definitely gonna see that. I hope Ymir makes an appearance, he is Loki's real father so he should be in there somewhere. Does anyone know if Donald Blake will be in the movie, If hes gonna have Natalie Portman as a love interest(who wouldnt say no to her), will he be in his human form.

people use art side by side because, like me, some people are not sure who SIF is, a lot of people know the Thor character but not the rest

Sif relates to Thor on a level no other woman ever has in that she has that warrior-soul. She Asgards greatest female warrior so naturally they gravitate toward each other.


Wonder Woman + Elektra - all the tragedy and having died = Sif. That's who she is.

In classical mythology she is Thor's wife, but in Marvel she is just a fellow warrior who has distinguished herself in battle many times like Thor has. They have a relationship but things always get in the way, and long periods pass when they are not together. She isn't royalty like Thor but she is a favorite among the gods of Asgard because of her extreme valor.

I've seen this girl act before, she used to be on that abcfamily show Kyle XY. Her acting seems to fare well, and like everyone is saying here, she looks perfect to play Sif!

@WEAPON420- That is where I've seen her before! (Everyone else... Don't judge.) That aside, the lady has the look to pass for Sif, and she can fight. She is OK in my books.
