THOR opens in theaters, Friday, May 6!

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the epic adventure THOR spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

THOR is from a screenplay by Ashley Edward Miller & Zack Stentz and Don Payne and a story by J. Michael Straczynski and Mark Protosevich. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige will produce the film. Alan Fine, Stan Lee, David Maisel and Marvel Studio’s Co-President, Louis D'Esposito, will executive produce.

In addition to THOR, Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including Captain America: The First Avenger on July 22, 2011; Marvel’s The Avengers on May 4, 2012; and Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013.

@ckrk8

I won early screening tickets in the "Hot Topic God Of Thunder" contest and i'm giving one to him. But i'm just as confused. How is it the U.S premiere is the 2nd when I will see it even earlier on the 30th?

Also, my ass should be at that damn premiere. Rubbing elbows with Ken and Chris. Stupid fate just can't let me win anything big.

This guy may be good at this kind of thing and keep it entertaining, but as it has been said, he is NOT Luke Cage. How ironic that another old spice guy would make a great Luke Cage. I am of course talking about...Bruce Campbell. Oh! or Terry Crews would work too.
Hellsing
Hellsing - 4/27/2011, 8:09 AM
oh right so the meetings he's had with marvel was to host the premier

Terry Crews is too old, anyways hopefully they do Heroes for Hire movie with Cage and Iron Fist. Luke Cage is [frick]ing great and all but don't know if he can hold up solo movie but who knows maybe. Its kinda sad that were never going to see the New Avengers roster in live action.

Oh please, if people watch stupid ass reality tv and see movies like Twilight, I think the people would welcome Luke Cage. Be badass to see a movie with a hero who doesn't hide behind a mask or has on a giant cape. Luke Cage is 1000% man who can give people shyt and never take any. Forget sticking to walls, forget taking super steroids, forget metal suits, he is the real deal.

Ummmmmm, ya we have. He looked like Cap before the super soldier serum version of LUKE. So zip it chuckles :p

SmokinIndo - 4/27/2011, 10:14 AM
If this guy is going to be Luke Cage, he better put on a TON of muscle. I mean he has to make Bale, Evans, and Hemsworth look PUNY! Then I could possibly see him as Cage.
MassExecutions
MassExecutions - 4/27/2011, 10:25 AM
Man, I don't care how old Terry Crews is. Read Luke Cage, watch Terry Crews, bang, there it is.

Also, a Luke Cage movie is guaranteed to make money. Production costs are going to be NOTHING compared to most comic book movies. There's always room for a street smart action movie if you if you don't release it against heavy competition. It's easy money. DO IT, MARVEL!

Old Spice guy has seriously worn out his welcome.

I know Luke Cage, and you are no Luke Cage, sir. Luke Cage is one badass mushroom cloud-laying motherk*cker, motherf*cker.

I don't know where the vitriol toward this guy comes from, I think he's a decent dude. I don't think he's Luke Cage material either, but I don't think that excludes him from ALL roles. Maybe there's a role for him as Falcon or something.

I just came from a pre-premiere of the movie here in Oslo, Norway, and what can I say; FREAKIN´AWESOME!

Never really been a huge Thor-fan,(all though I never hated him either) but it´s impossible as a marvel fan to not like this movie! Full of marvel universe- and source material references, epic shots of Asgard, great performances by the cast, especially the Norse God himself.. I could go on and on! I´m probably going to see it at a cinema again next week, and I´m definetly adding this one to my blu-ray collection when that time is due!
