Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all. Omega is correct it's showing more loki highlights then thor , mostly likely because of his performance in avengers. hope marvel doesn't start making business moves with the movies an loose the core of the material

20 bucks says they have loki do something that completely outshines thor in the flim. i realized that's Marvel's new MO ie IM3 tony was better in the suit have the F*****G TIME SMH :/ it's not my opinion it's reality , called business moves....................

I just found out 3 minutes of Guardians of the Galaxy was shown at NYCC during the Marvel Unlimited Plus panel.... If I had known that would happen, I would have paid for Unlimited plus to be there.

And to get the sample for Wolverine Origins 2 cover. I'm gonna go in the corner to cry now.

So how much will this movie make? Me, all I want it to do is make at least $300M domestically. To do so, it needs to open with $110 weekend take. It will do that if the reviews are positive. here is my prediction:

opening weekend, Friday to Sunday: $110M
Monday to Thursday, Week 1: $40M ($150M total)
Weekend 2: $55M ($205M)
M-T, Wk 2: $20M ($225M)
Weekend 3: $27M ($252M)
M-T, Wk 3: $15M ($267M) Thanksgiving Day Week
Weekend 4: $20M ($287M) Thanksgiving day weekend
M-T, Wk 4: $7M ($294M)
Weekend 5: $5M ($299M)
M-T, Wk 5: $3M ($302M)
Weekend 6: $2M ($304M)

It will then slowly creep to $310M domestically. This all depends on positive to very positive reviews and a $110M opening weekend. Box office is actually pretty predictable, with a few givens.

The first one made 450 million, and that was without the Avengers and IM3. And without very good reviews. So expect this one to make a lot of cash.

Loki can't really outshine Thor in my opinion, their characters are too different. Thor's more straight forward and stoic while Loki's cunning and manipulative, it just depends on which characterstic you like more.
