Guys,read the article on ew,feige talks about winter soldier and ultron aswhile a little ,I will post the quotes here.

“We didn’t sit down and say, okay now bring on the bad guys. The heroes are the focus and the drivers,” Feige says. “We choose those villains because of what you hope they will bring out in the hero. Malekith and the dark elves give Thor a noble foe, tap into Asgardian history, and bring about somebody who is worse than Loki, to put Thor in a position where he had to ask for his brother’s help.”

Winter Soldier:

“The movie takes place in the modern day, with Cap struggling for his position in the world, and just when he thinks he might be finding his niche, we throw in something from his past to throw him for a loop,” Feige says.

The Winter Soldier is, like Cap, a bio-engineered military weapon. But unlike Cap, he has been brainwashed and lacks the strong moral compass that guides his red, white, and blue opponent. “Winter Soldier has been methodically, almost robotically, following orders for 70 years, and Captain America is struggling with what it means to serve a country, to serve a government, and whether the ideals he grew up with still apply,” Feige says.

Ultron:

Feige was more circumspect about details of how this villain will clash with Iron Man, The Hulk, Cap, Thor, and Black Widow, but did tip his hand a little bit about the movie, headed to theaters May 1, 2015. Like many villains, Ultron will be a contrast to the heroes he faces. His zeal to resist and reshape his programming make him hate the powerful rivals who seem to have total control of their lives and destinies.

“There is an element of free will that our heroes have, that all humans have, whether it’s Thor or Steve Rogers — and certainly Tony Stark is the poster boy for free will,” Feige says. “That’s what Ultron resents.”

@Batmaniac

He was ok. Yeah he was powerful but he's not an interesting villain, he's underdevelopped, he barley interacts with other characters than his dark elves, his motivation is simple and not interesting.Malekith is more of an excuse to have fight scenes and an end battle. I expected more to be honest. He wasn't exactly a character that was easy to pull off mostly because of all the make up and speaking a fake language. The villian could have been anyone in the movie and it wouldn't have changed at all. Still a great movie though.

my question is, does this movie screw up the timeline that was in Citidel of Spires the spin off comic?

You've made a good point there, I will acknowledge that. When I left the theatre I kinda felt underwhelmed by him. I'm seeing this on tomorrow again, so maybe my opinion on him might change. But again, excellent point. What did you think of Kurse?
GinjaNinja
GinjaNinja - 10/31/2013, 11:12 AM
@Batmaniac exactly! Hence why Loki is the best villain ever besides Joker from DK. He is so creative, and his realationship to thor is very well done so far.

@Batmaniac

I agree though, Malekith the MCU's biggest threat so far. There's real danger when he's onscreen, I really thought anyone could die. The stakes were high this time around.. What did you think of the final battle? I thought the humour was a bit much. But Thor throwing his hammer into the different relms and taking the subway made me lol so hard. xD

ezio619

The mid-credits scene was creepy and weird. I was like HOLY SHIT!!! It was a true shocker. Can't wait for Thor 3. :D

MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 10/31/2013, 11:59 AM
Wait...the villain does evil and villainous things to the hero?? I'd never have believed it! That's his job! But like McNyagano said, he could have been anyone. He only existed in the movie to give Thor something to hit with his hammer..he barely had any lines and what he did say wasn't exactly very memorable..plainly put, he was [frick]ing boring! The movie still worked because we had Loki there to (kinda) share villain duties and provide a bit more substance, but Maelkith needed WAY more screen time and a lot more fleshing out for him to make any kind of lasting impression imo.
